Hi all, I'm here asking you: Which are the most strange, weird, ambient or just noisy patches you ever heard or created on your Helix? I'd like to hear things that Johnny Greenwood (Radiohead) or Adrian Belew, Adam Jones (Tool), or others you may know, would have created. I mean patches like these Factory ones and even more weird: Dr. Strange, X Ray, Rezz Score, Low E Sludge, Nesbit, Dramatic Scene, all the SFX patches, Hairy Air Thank you

Hey guys, I just purchased my helix and have been incredibly impressed with its capabilities so far. I will say, I haven't been able to dial in any tones that feel right with all the amp/cab simulations, but I'm totally happy with using this for all its other capabilities. However... I am pretty disappointed with the delay switching and the weird warpy-ness that happens when switching delay times within a preset using the snapshots. The only work around I've found so far is to switch to a snapshot where the delay is off, then to the one with the desired delay. I know you're bound to encounter some weirdness when you start messing with the delay time when the effect is engaged, but I was previously using a Boss DD-20 to toggle between one delay preset and the next with different speeds/feedbacks, and it was totally seamless. So easy. I'm not liking the idea of having to go back to the core setting on the helix in between delays. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As of now, I just stuck my DD-20 in one of the helix's effects loop, and it sounds great. The only downside to that is I'm running the delay completely wet, and tweaking the mix/level parameters on the loop doesn't sound nearly as good adjusting the pedal's level knob. So, I will not have full programmability over over these parameters and will have to go back to manually adjusting and using tap tempo like the pre-Helix days, unless I can get this resolved :(

I think I may end up returning this 59 after all. There's a strange harmonic "ping" or "tang" sound on the low E string, especially on the frets from 5 down to open string. Very harsh and digital sounding. Extremely noticeable on the single coil tones, but even shows up on the humbucker models as well. You can actually hear it a little even with the mags, so I can only assume it's something with the piezo saddle and bridge. Sympathetic vibrations? Voodoo? Anyways, I can't imagine playing this thing live and having that sound assaulting the audience. Suggestions before I make the short drive to Guitar Center to return it would be great. Guitar plays like a dream with no fret buzz, but man, I can't take that sound. Even my wife can hear something is weird with it. I'm going to change the E string and see if that helps and look the saddle over while I have it apart, but if you guys have had this issue or heard of it, please shoot me some links or suggestions. I found a lot of issues with folks with the 69, but not much with the 59. Thanks.
