levenko1966
Please tell me whether or not with a firmware update 2.6 update for POD HD500X EDIT
pianoguyy
I don't understand the question. It may be a language error that is lost in translation? 1. The firmware is not out yet. 2. Monkey, not Edit, is where you get your firmware updates for your unit. 3. They will most likely need to update the Edit software to accommodate added features on the unit. If none of them are the proper answer, please explain the question better.
duncann
I would say there would have to be an update to HD Edit to support the new model packs, and the new EQ.
silverhead
Is there something more behind your question? I ask because the situation is quite standard and simple. As the previous posters have said, there will likely be an update to Hd Edit. But that's quite normal and it's a simple matter of downloading and installing the update, a one-time thing that should be no problem. Are you anticipating a problem if there is an update? What prompts you to ask the question?
maxnew40
I sure they hope they add the ability to maximize the HD edit application. it is very annoying that the current app has such a small maximum window size. -Max

It will make the program look bigger. For me, I have the opposite problem. Because I 'drag and drop' so often, I think it takes up too much of the screen.
Charlie_Watt
It would be nice if they let you resize the window to full screen. Most modern monitors only work properly on one resolution so that is not a good option to change the size of the window.

pianoguyy
What is your native language, and can you ask your question in it. It may help.
Palico
If you asking when will the update be released? The answer from line 6 has been somewhere in March. They have not said an exact date yet.

phil_m
Somebody can tell me where i can download a free phf reader. they ask it for hd500x software. Who asks for it? To use 500X Edit, you shouldn't need anything else.
Charlie_Watt
What is "phf"???
DarrellM5
I'm assuming you mean .pdf reader. The HD Edit software won't need one but the manuals might. You can get it here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/ Be sure to uncheck the box before installing if you don't want McAfee Security Scan to be installed as well. duncann
I think he's referring to something that will decode or read the pod firmware files in some way. And if that's the case, Line 6 sure wouldn't give something like out, or even leak it out. But if you're looking to flash the firmware on a pod unit, then you'd want the Line 6 Monkey program to do that.

pianoguyy
Obviously, they will be making changes to EDIT to accommodate the new features of the Pod. But no one will know until it is released if they made any changes to the interface. I doubt there will be an Undo button.
silverhead
There already is a sort of Undo feature. It applies to the whole preset, not just the most recent tweak(s). You can undo all unsaved changes to the preset by using the RECEIVE command in Edit. That retrieves the last-stored state of the preset from the device's memory, undoing all changes made in Edit since the last SEND command.
