Labrosse
So first off I love my Helix. I really do and it works great for any job I have. BUT. I have a problem with the delay. I feel like any model I use has a very short echo/trail. I strike a note and it echoes back for about 2-3 seconds at the specified volume I have the mix set to, then it just trails off with you barely able to hear it. I have set the feedback like at 55-70% and it does seem to really help. I have my pedal set at the end of my chain. Anyone else have this issue or am I just doing it wrong for some reason. I feel like my HD delay had a longer echo...
fukuri
Is there a gate on anywhere?
phil_m
Set the feedback higher. That's what it's there for.
tagmusenmagnus1
Exactly... Thats what feedback means - Do you have any problem with the sound, if you turn it up higher than 75%, or ? Guess there must be a reason to why you havn't done that already ?
TheDaveDaveDave
... and try tweaking it with Pedal Edit mode - bliss!
Labrosse
I have set the feedback for longer and didn't seem to really help. It still only echoes for 2-3 seconds before it fades
glideman
Hmmm... mine seems to work fine. I can jack up the feedback and echo "until the cows come home..."

tagmusenmagnus1
But that would be a gate after the echoes... It is a possibility, but if you have one after Delays, you should remove it completely.
fukuri
Unless it is a bit of a red herring If he has the input gate set too aggressively it will cut the originating note and possibly appear like there aren't enough repeats (when the problem is the originating note hasn't enough sustain)

You might also want to check the that the mix setting is high enough as well as the previously suggested feedback control.
