Dylanguitar
The purpose is that I want to use the amp (not the cab) settings that I currently have for some patches using Amp + Cab to audition new Cab IR's. I know i can manually copy them, (write them down) and then just load the amp by itself. But I'm wondering if there's a quicker way to just copy the settings or just move the Amp, minus the Cab to a new block. I hope that was clear. To put another way, let's say I like the sound of my Solo Lead OD (amp + cab). I want to see how the same EQ settings on only the amp will interact with a 3rd party cab IR, so I want to create a new block with the same amp settings. Thanks! Dylan This is one thing I wish it would be possible. Didn't find another way as copying and reacreate. I usally do it by insert separate amp and cap on the second path and adjust the values. Maybe something for Ideascale?
fukuri
No I always keep my amp and cab seperate for more or less this reason (i.e flexibility in the chain) If I'm having a problem with a patch at volume the first thing I do is start filtering with the cabs I don't use 3rd party IRs as I run in stereo
silverhead
What I do in this situation is copy the Amp+Cab block and place the copy in another spot in the signal chain, usually some where down in Path 2 to avoid confusion. Then replace the original Amp+Cab with separate Amp and Cab blocks positioned wherever you want them. Now toggle back and forth between the copied block and the new blocks to manually recreate the settings. I find this faster than writing down the original settings. Saves paper and ink/lead too!! Edit: Forgot to mention the obvious - when finished you delete the redundant Amp+Cab block.....
PeterHamm
Yup, the solution is to never ever use amp + cab. In fact, I wish I could remove that feature just from my unit.silverhead. Your idea is genius. EVerybody click like on that.

To elaborate on the part in red... if people don't already know... pressing the AMP button will toggle between amps when you have a patch with multiple amps. That will speed up the process.
