migueledge
I think helix in a large unit. Emulations of amps and cabinets are perfect. But to improve among other things the delay block. No digital delay with modulation. Also no modulation duck.I'm waiting for a firmware update with these delays do not understand how the podhd500 have these blocks and the helix no. JLondon
The Helix has both a duck delay and a few with modulation. I don't recall what they are called at the moment but the Memory Man clone has modulation.
phil_m
The Dual Delay model is probably the cleanest digital delay with modulation. The Mod Chorus Echo model is also a modulated digital delay. Those aren't really models of specific delays, though. They're original creations.
duncann
You could easily add any sort of modulation (what's currently in Helix) to any of the delays by putting the delay in a path of its own with the mix at 100%. Put the modulation, filter, eq, etc. right after the delay block. Use the merge block to control the mix of the original signal and the delayed signal.
Ka5par
It would be interesting if the effected delay could be fed back to the delay block. Examples: 1) Distorted delay going back, gets progressively distorted again until it'll probably turn into noise. 2) Pitch shifted delay pitch shifted again until ultra or infra-sound :) A feature request maybe? PeterHamm
I am a delay addict and find nothing in the Helix to be lacking in this department actually.
