chuskey
First off, love the new amp and effects, thank you Line 6!!! Did a quick video today using the Dumble model. I think that model nails that edge of break up SRV type sound, plus it sounds really good with the SD-1 too. The link to download the patch is in the video description if anyone wants it. https://youtu.be/5NpeyO8TJwQ

malhavok
Why do I keep seeing people refer to this as a Dumble, has Line 6 said somewhere that it is based on a Dumble?
Jorgegenio
Hi, This is my first post here but i got too excited with the new amp. First I watched your video chuskey and then run and upgrade my helix even if it was 2am in the morning (uk). It's definitely "inspired" on Dumble or at least it gives me that unique D-type clean/break. Besides, the logo on the editor really looks like a Dumble ;) Might not be one but if you like that kind of tone this model can't really disappoint you. Thank you Line 6! I was waiting for this so much.

chuskey
Why do I keep seeing people refer to this as a Dumble, has Line 6 said somewhere that it is based on a Dumble? I saw someone explain why it was a Dumble. Apparently there's a term on The Gear Page where they refer to people as a "blues lawyer". Meaning someone who is wealthy/businessman and has to own super high end gear, but isn't really a player and doesn't go out and gig. More of a collector, and to borrow a skateboarder phrase, a bit of a "poser". So they did a twist on the the lawyer theme and called it the Litigator. That's the story I read anyway. Seemed to make sense. Plus once I installed the update and looked at the image of the amp in the editor that pretty much confirmed it :)
malhavok
The first part of the story seems pretty convincing. I don't put any stock into the images in the editor for something like this. I saw another post from Ben Adrian on TGP or maybe in a youtube vid where he talks about one of the Line 6 original models and said something along the lines of, "I guess the artists just thought it should look like an X but it totally isn't an X." Yeah, that's probably my fault. I told our graphic designer to make the amp look "Dad Rock." The ODS had that sort of diamond pattern that looks like a sweater vest that a dad might wear, so that was probably the inspiration. There are two or three other easter eggs I swore people would find sooner. Yes, the name is a Blues Lawyer reference. No Dumble (or Dumble clone, such as a TwoRock or Carol Ann) was modeled for Line 6 Litigator, but Ben has an amazing ear, and perhaps there was some subconscious inspiration when creating it. He sure does have a great ear. He did a great job on it for sure! If you guys ever did model a Dumble style amp, you'd probably state it like the other models you do. But this does sound like a good amp for blues and fusiony Carlton licks :)

I'm still going to tell myself that it's a Dumble, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling :) Regardless, it's an awesome amp model!! Well done.
Verne-Bunsen
Whatever you want to call it, it sounds fantastic. Thanks for posting the video! It'll be a while before I can do the update myself, so for at least the next several days I'll be living vicariously through you fellers :) This amp is definitely at the top of the list of things I can't wait to try out.
shanecgriffo
2 or 3 other easter eggs?? Are these in the firmware update and still havent been mentioned digital igloo.?
HonestOpinion
Speaking of Easter eggs, was there any stabilizing of the tuner? Might be these fresh strings or the firmware placebo effect but it seems a bit more stable today.
