iamgeorge
Hey guys, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjmTf31MAe8 Not sure what effect this is, does anyone know? Also, I assume this type of effect can have the tempo adjusted accordingly to suit? Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, is this effect available on the Helix? The effect comes in at around the 0:16 mark.. To me, it’s not quite flanger/not quite phaser.. kinda like a helicopter, or something.. Thanks. datacommando
U.K. reports same issue with YouChoob link! "The uploader has not made this video available in your country". Now there's a novelty - we usually get crap from all over the globe! Maybe we will never know what it is you seek, Grasshopper?

It sounds like a combo of tremolo (with a nearly square wave for the "chop") and a phaser (or maybe a flanger) with a tight width, and a fairly high regen. There may also be an octave thing going on too. Should be no problem on the Helix.. just make sure you get the trem speed/tempo in sync with the phaser/flanger. It's Beautiful Dangerous (Slash + Fergie) and as per my iPod, the effect in question comes in at around the 9 second mark..

jbuhajla
Yeah, you can create the stutter/chop with a tremolo block in front of your amp model block.
FLIXBUS
http://www.slashparadise.com/equipment/live-gear-slash-solo-tour.php This is the rig he used for his solo albums. In this intro he used the MXR M101 Phase 90 into the MXR M159 Stereo Tremolo (in mono) into the amp. The phaser has to go in front the M159, otherwise you will have anoying phaser artifacts that are not on the record.
