Helix hung up on start up

It's happened to me just recently. It was with 2.10.0. It's concerning when stuff like that happens (I'm reminded of the way Elon Musk looks when he's watching one of his rocket launches/landings. Lol). Not sure at all what the cause was. It's happened several times over the slightly more than a year since I've had Helix.

As long as it looks like everything is still working after a power cycle, I wouldn't worry about it.

Mine has hung up a few times, but only while connected through USB to my Mac. I try not to power up any more with the USB connected to anything.

Probably a good idea. Another reason why I intend to use the Helix stand alone.

Come to think of it, my Helix was plugged into my laptop with "Helix Not Connected" on the screen. Maybe laptop and Helix trying to refresh all at once is problematic. Will avoid this combo in the future!

Windows? Mac?

I am not saying it couldn't happen with some devices or with a bad USB connection but I have never had a problem leaving the USB cable plugged into the computer and starting the Helix. If you usually use the Helix with the Editor I wouldn't hesitate to leave it plugged in. Less wear and tear than constantly plugging and unplugging the USB connection.
