Hi. I am new to a POD HD500x and line 6.  I managed to tweak it enough that I can no longer access any of the factory presets.  Any advice on getting them back? Does this forum have a FAQ section?

The instructions seem a little dense in the manual. Trying to get my mind around them.

thanks

The whole forum is an FAQ section, you just need to search for what you want. Generally, if you replaced the factory patches before you backed the unit up (always have a backup) then you have to reset the pod. However, I do recall seeing that a kind user posted a link to a set of the factory patches quite recently..

You will find lots of useful information in the evergreen MeAmBobbo Tone Guide. Lots.

The PG has a point. I found the MAB Tone Guide massively useful as a POD newbie but only because I was used to using real-world kit already. The Tone Guide (and posters here, including PG) helped me to get the POD to do what I wanted it to do. But I wasn't starting from a position of general ignorance.

Yes...don't.

The factory presets are awful and essentially unusable. If you're accustomed to tweaking patches on your own, then you're already ahead of the game, even if the unit is still relatively new. You'll be a whole lot happier in the long run creating your own tones.

If you want to get the presets back, you have to re-flash the firmware. There is no built-in reset like in previous PODs. Basically, backup what you have if you want to keep those patches, re-flash the firmware and you get and option to reset the patches.
