codamedia
I am wondering if anyone is using the Stage Source L2t speaker with their Helix ... and if so what are your thoughts of it. I'd be using it live... most often just as a stage monitor for myself while the Helix goes direct to FOH, but at times I may need to fill a small room from the stage. There is a used one for sale in my local classifieds for about half the price of a standard L6 Power Cab (not the plus).... from what i can tell that's a heck of a price for one of these. Been using mine as a floor monitor for years now, with Helix and my 500X before it. Works and sounds great. Acoustic tones with a Variax sound killer. Loud as f*ck, if you need it. You could put it on a stand for backline use if you had to. Only stopped using it recently 'cause we switched to in-ears. It did have the fan-assembly rattle problem when it was new... it was a known issue at the time, fixed under warranty. Hasn't been a problem since.
rd2rk
Check out posts by rubytopaz over on the TGP Digital and Modeling Helix thread. He's currently using two of them plus two powercabs. Awesome guitar player too!
HonestOpinion
I have used an L2m for years of gigging with my Helix as my guitar monitor. Works great although you have to EQ cut the highs and lows in the right spots as you do with any FRFR. Looking forward to purchasing a PowerCab+ though to replace it. If you have not purchased the L2t yet I would consider getting the PowerCab+ instead. It is much more tightly integrated with the Helix and provides a lot of options the L2t won't. For the price of that used L2t though I can understand why you might want to get both though. At the very least the L2t will provide you with a great monitor for vocals and guitar and could also be used for a small gig as a main (better to have two for that of course). You might want to check if the L2t that is being sold has that speaker rattle problem cruisinon mentioned. You can test it usually by turning up the volume on your guitar and the L2t and playing "E" type barre chords up the neck. I believe it was usually the F or F# that used to produce the rattle for me. Can't quite remember any more.

But you'll know right away... sounded like a friggin hedge clipper, lol
JLondon
I have an L2 and 2 L3s. I leave the L2 at church to monitor myself on stage and go to FOH straight from back of Helix. Wouldn't have it any other way except for a Powercab+ which I now have also. If you get an L2 get the one with the onboard mixer. Aside from being a no-brainer to get the 2 channel mixer for $100 extra, it's got acoustic guitar options and is the best acoustic amp I've ever had or used. But if you're only playing electric, I'd go with a Powercab+.
codamedia
Update... the great deal was a bust. I don't mind wear and tear, but not abuse. It was absolutely filthy and had two pots broken off in the mixer. Even at the low price I was quick to walk away.
