Goooner1 5 Posted March 17, 2014 Just got a DT25 yesterday and was playing around with it on it's own before hooking up my HD500X. I was just wondering, is there an equivalent of each of the four DT25 voices on the HD500X? Or if not what would be the closest to them? Or is it just a case of just plugging direct into the DT25 if you want to just use those four models?
radatats 921 Posted March 17, 2014 the DT models are the same as the POD HD models. Update your firmware and use the DT Edit program you can download from the sticky post in the DT forum. Download and read all the DT and POD manuals and you will learn what you need to know. Search this site too, these same questions have been asked and answered over and over and over and... Metalchef 55 Posted March 17, 2014 Yes Topologies. 1. Blackface 2.plexi (I believe I have dt50 2x12 and 2 is P 75) 3. Vox ac30 top boost 4.treadplate. I hope that is what you were asking. Only difference in topology between dt50 and DT25 is topology 2.
Goooner1 5 Posted March 17, 2014 Thanks Metalchef, that's exactly what I was asking.
joebutterfield 10 Posted March 17, 2014 As a side note to this thread I would also check out the DT 2.0 update. This will allow you to swap out the preamp models and reverb types on each channel independantly if you you are using the amp stand alone via idevice and TouchOSC app. Link below http://line6.com/dtv2update/ @line6jbutter

Only difference in topology between dt50 and DT25 is topology 2. I thought the difference was in topology 1: BF Double versus Lux, but I may be wrong and it's a while since I tried this comparison. Just make sure to turn default Cab modeling on when you try to match what the DT does with an HD. Check the forums for posts on more details to sve yourself lots of time and frustration to get it close (unless you succeed on first try ;-). If I don't have a Pod, then I can control via midi device. When updating, would I need to update both the amp and the Pod independently of each other? Thanks! radatats 921 Posted April 1, 2014 don't confuse the standalone midi configuration capability with actual control like with the POD. You only get to select the amp, cab and mic, and topology. You cannot control the tone stack or volume this way. And they should be updated separately because they will each have their own separate firmware updates... joebutterfield 10 Posted April 2, 2014 Sorry I am a little late to the thread, but I second the previous thread. You would have to update both the POD and DT independently. the_bees_knees22 24 Posted April 13, 2014 Sooo, I came really close with getting the models mentioned above to match the original DT 2 models, although I use Brit 75 instead of of the Nrm. On the AC 30 however, the volume is really low coming from the pod compared to the other models. Is everyone having that issue? Or should I try re-updating the firmware? (it's almost half the volume of the other amp models)Perhaps I should ask this in the PODHD forums.
