  2. It's not that mate, I've had an LT, 2 Pod's, and a floor. Fully expecting it to go bang shortly! Maybe I will plug HX Edit back in over USB to speed things up!

  3. Hi, again, Damn that’s really annoying - leaving it parked up in the repair shop for all that time. Your point about it being “cold for a month” may well be correct as it was suggested by @PierM in an earlier reply, when he said “The randomness could just be related to broken semiconductors conductance at the joints and in the body, that make them working when cold and dying when hot.” Let the technicians have it and fix it! As for costs - well that’s definitely an unknown. All I can do is wish you good luck with this one.

  4. Must admit had planned to ditch the Mesa, but after finally getting it setup with 4CM, I'll be keeping it - awesome with Cali EQ in the loop from the Helix. My PC 212 was no match as my ears hear.

  5. Does your mono auto wah have a stereo input (separate L/R or single TRS)? if not, how can you send it a stereo signal? If you send a mono signal to a stereo looper L/R input, you'll just get dual mono out of the looper, as it is simply a recorder, not an FX PROCESSOR (unless it is). Dual mono DOES NOT equal Stereo. Dual mono is simply two identical signals. STEREO is a signal that's PROCESSED to send different signals on discrete left and right channels. If you send mono or dual mono into a STEREO EFFECT, the output of the effect will be stereo. To send a stereo signal you need a Stereo FX Loop Block and a 1/4" Male TRS in the SEND. To keep it Stereo anything between the SEND and RETURNS needs to be Stereo. This usually requires that the male TRS be split into dual TS (male or female as required). The last device before the RETURNS needs to be Stereo so it's L and R outs can be connected to the HXS L and R RETURNS. Stereo FX>Stereo Send>mono whatever = mono Mono FX>Stereo Send = dual mono>stereo FX = stereo A stereo device splits a mono signal L/R. A mono device sums a stereo signal to mono. This is ALWAYS true, regardless of where in the signal chain you place the S/R Block. If you place a FX Send L block after a stereo effect, the SEND TIP signal will carry the L signal, NO signal on the RING. No R signal reaches the SEND. If you place a FX Send R Block after a stereo effect, the SEND RING signal will carry the R signal, NO signal on the TIP. No L signal reaches the SEND. This is how you do 4cm with stereo amps. Is it smart enough to... NO, it's really dumb. It's totally on you to configure the routing.

  6. The first cause of Helix/HX problems is....user errors. :) So it could be you were just missing something in your early attempts. When we help over here, we always assume you are doing all right, and that your systems are properly setup, but every time there is USB involved, a lot of extra variables are playing in the game... Fingercrossed. :)

  8. Thanks for your help. But I put the unit in rebuild mode with pressing 6 and 12 on power up Then the Updater connected and then I just installed from there. Everything seems in place even my User 1 presets restored. Thank you very much

  9. I'm really hoping and expecting that the next update for Pod Go fixes it's fundermental weakness! - that is, you can't run any kind of stereo effect in a live context, because the last effect in the chain - the cab - turns everything to mono!! (the cab has to be the last effect, as the tap off to the on-stage amp is just before it). Either stereo cab or IR - don't mind which, but PLEASE give us the ability to run the Pod Go in stereo!!!

  10. Simply click the pedal in, to select 1/2 and save it for the snapshot. Cafes with live music? There are too many options to name. For jazz or rock? For jazz, there's the Blue Note. For rock, lots of stuff in Williamsburg for example.

  11. Hi, Really - you think so? Hmm... well let's have a little look see. I wouldn’t say that effects users in particular are missing out. True the last couple of updates have featured heavily on the new cabs, which is what the majority of users had been clamouring for. Although 3.5 had 24 new cabs running on an all new cab engine, along 5 new amps, it also included 7 brand new effects. Helix/HX 3.15 (released February 8, 2022) included a new Line 6 original amp, 10 new Helix effects, 18 additional Legacy effects - That’s 1 amp, plus 28 FX. Previously, v3.10 had one amp and five effects. Firmware 3.0 had 3 new amps and 2 cabs but an additional 15 effects. It wasn't until v2.0 in July 2016 that any extras were added in the shape of 5 amps and four effects. I have been using my Helix floor right from the original version it shipped with and the first update was Helix 1.06.5 back in Feb 2016 and that was essentially bug fixes and stability improvements. I bought it for what it could do then, not in the hope of endless free updates packed with only things I want. No, those fine folk at Line 6 continue to add these free things, some of which I may never use, but I'm very grateful that they do these updates. So, you see - not that unequal after all and should you feel the urge so buy a "Strymon with new reverbs", or "lots of other quirky and cool mod/filter effects", those thoughtful people at Line 6 provided your HXFX with Send/Return sockets that you can patch into. I could go on, but... Hope this helps/makes sense.
