It's still early but it has not crashed since I moved the USB from the front port to the back and I have edited/created about 15 patches so maybe that was the trouble. Thanks again Datacommando!1 point

Oh wow thanks Datacommando... it is connected to the front USB port on my PC. I had not considered that. I will move it to one of the back ports and see if that helps.1 point

All most current versions of Helix and HX Edit as of yesterday. Helix: 3.71. HX Edit: 3.70. I used Line 6 Updater which came with HX Edit I believe. I was not prompted to update any drivers however.1 point

Remember that the Global EQ isn’t applied to the USB out, so if you have that on, what you’re hearing over the analog outs is not what’s being sent to the USB audio stream.1 point

The reply above will help, but you no longer need L6 Updater anyway. You can now update Helix firmware directly through the latest version of HX Edit.1 point

Mac's security and privacy Settings. You need to allow installation. And get the latest Link6 Updater.pkg before you allow installation.1 point
