  1. I would suggest to wait till L6 responds. In the mean time check this one:
  2. Or just send (email, usb stick, zipped attachment in this forum, etc) to the tech director's PC a copy of your folder with your tones.
  3. Use the first preset on Bank 1 (Son of Plexi).
  4. Using the VDI, u get only one A/D convertion, taking place at the JTV piezo section. After that point, the signal all the way to the HD output remains digital. Using the 1/4" NGC (normal guitar cable), you add two more conversions: 1) In the JTV output jack (D/A) 2) In the HD input jack (A/D) This explains the (slight) sound diff, but is surely imposes further signal deterioration. May be this is the reason u (think? u) hear better dynamic range and better tone, :) Check out this one (diagram @14:07):
  5. Only two have status "Completed" with -5 votes the first one and 32 votes the second :)
  6. +1 to edstar. However, if u encounter ground loop hum, consider using something like this.
  7. Quoting from http://line6.com/support/topic/5447-why-no-replacement-piezo-elements-for-jtv69/page-3?do=findComment&comment=39112 QUOTE ...https://app.box.com/s/uwegswh7110bippmzkgf... UNQUOTE
  8. U shld also take into account the playablity of each jtv guitar model. The 59 is LesPaul like and the 69 is Strat type. The choice is urs.
  9. Since it is working under pc control both with v2.0 + older firmware, it seems that ur prblm lies on the model selector. Search this forum 4 "model selector problem" I am sure it'll help u find out a solution. May be it would be necessary to open a support ticket or return the unit 4 a replacemnt (if still under warranty).
  10. Do u have installed the latest firmware, drivers, etc? Driver Version 4.2.7.1 (Released 9/25/13) adds support for the POD HD Pro X. As far as the loose button is concerned, I think you'd better return the unit and obtain a replacement.
  11. Immediately after recording, use the "Normalize" effect on the channel just recorded. Then use the mixer board to level all "normalized" tracks.
  12. Check also this one. rgds/john
  13. There are no add-ons for the HD.
  14. No u cannot do that. U have to recreate ur tones manually, cause HD500 operates on different firmware than the X3.
  15. Connect ur JTV 1/4" output 2 ur amp 1/4" input. Open up JTV + amp volume. Shut down modelling. Now if you strum the guitar u should hear "her" thru ur amp. If not, check the cable.
  16. Midi cable? Does it carry sound signal? Charlie did't say anything abt midi, he said "Balanced XLR outputs". Pls recheck my 1st post above.
  17. Check also this: Video Tutorial: How To Record on Your Computer Using POD HD
  18. Connect your headphones directly 2 ur HD500. If this humming/ buzzing noise dissapears, it seems like u are in2 a ground loop issue. Google 4 "laptop ground loop" and fix accordingly (see attached search sample screenshot). If this noise is still present, it seems like ur HD500 need servicing. Open a support ticket. Rgds/john ps There is also the possibility of low quality power supply. Check accordingly. Also the pls recheck the above attachment. It is irrelevant that u use headphones. The ground loop (if any) is still there.
