  1. Best way is in HDEdit, go to the Controllers Tab. See the two images I attached. Select the Volume pedal in the list of effects, then parameter should show Volume and Controller Exp-1. Set minimum and maximum to something like 30% and 100%
  2. No, not working correctly in Chrome. Move your mouse over some of the main buttons like Members, Reply To This Topic etc, move it over them several times. Eventually you'll see "<3" and the button stops acting like a link to anything. The response I got to the ticket I opened was " we don't understand the problem." Hopefully they'll send it to web development and not general POD help people. My temporary solution is to use the IE Tab extension to Chrome so Chrome opens line6.com pages in a simulated internet explorer tab.
  3. There is a switch on the top-upper-right of the pod you should switch to "Line" if running direct to PA. See attached photo ( assuming this is the same on the 500 as on the 500x )
  4. Nicco's post translated ( hurghanico can verify google's translation accuracy :-) ) Hello everyone! 3 years I POD HD 500, set to perfection and always updated. I keep it so well that still looks new, it still has the film on the screen also. We come to the point: The last is doing everything to prevent me from playing, because it continues to be "jumping" the volume while I'm playing. This happens with every effect. The strangest thing is that I feel just the rischiacciare the fs effect, this returns to normal for a short period and then re-issue. I checked in setting the volume of the same and I noticed another thing very strange: the parameter passed from 0% to the value of fixed me with intermittence fast, then stop at 0%. Thinking it was a problem of dirt on the inside, I did clean the pedals. The result? Nothing has changed. Can any of you help me? I thank you in advance!
  5. The forum seems to be working today in Chrome, including pasting in text.
  6. Im going to use some of these live, after modifying to my own taste. Whether it is assigning multiple parameters to the expression pedal ( like drive plus presence ) or using dual amps and dual cabs, once its built into the patch it doesn't matter whether you're playing at home or in front of 5,000 people.
  7. Seems like following a topic doesn't always result in emails about new posts either.
  8. No iso cabs in our church, but it sounds full and rich through the IEMs
  9. I opened a support ticket. Part of the problem in Chrome is many of the forum elements are on Line6.net and unreachable. I'm using public google DNS addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 On the same laptop, internet explorer doesn't seem to have the same problems except pasting into boxes like this doesn't work in IE either. Line6.net resolves to 216.52.221.69 but trace route to that fails after a few hops
  10. Setting the powered speaker on its side, on a chair, and listening from across the room as I played sounded better. The stereo speakers are Paradigms but I'll just use those for mp3 playback when testing patches against a song. I always play in the same church and we aren't allowed floor monitors or amps ( IEM ) but I can get to rehearsal early enough and use a longer guitar cable to do some checking. Thought about a wireless guitar rig but things are complicated enough for now.
  11. This site has some interesting patches and multiple assignments to the expression pedal that I hadn't seen before. http://line6.com/customtone/profile/PDXguitarfreak He doesn't seem to get into deep editing of amp/cab parameters much, but does some innovative use of assigning multiple parameters to expression pedals. But I see in some of his patches he is using two amps and cabinet/mic combinations that don't eliminate phase problems. This combination in his Boogie-Soldano Hybrid patch shouldn't work ( 16 is the phase difference per MeAmBobbo ) Channel A: Treadplate amp / 4x12 Tread V30 with 87 condenser Channel B: Solo-100 Overdrive amp/4x12 Brit T-75 with 57 off axis
  12. Spoke to soon. In Chrome I can inspect element and see several Line 6 auxiliary pages not loading.
  13. Seems to be working here in Chrome now. I turned off hardware acceleration but have no other way to explain it. Pasted text below I've been reading about dual cabs and specifically your listing of which combinations work without phase issues. This guy ( PDXGuitarFreak) has some good patches and a youtube channel. 14. Having to use IE today for posting. Chrome works fine for all other sites. But even here in IE, pasting doesn't work. That's one way to keep posts brief I guess.
  15. This site is behaving oddly today. I've used chrome with it for a long time. Today it only seems to work ( mostly ) in IE and even there pasting text in isn't working. In Chrome, things that should be links don't work.
  16. DunedInDragon, what did you mean by "monitor position." Laying on its side? I have an Alto Professional TS112A powered speaker which is standing up vertically sitting on the hard wood floor of my bedroom and I only briefly tried it as a POD monitor. Didn't like the way it sounded compared to the stereo system which is sitting up on a shelf six feet off the floor.
  17. I tried it but probably more trouble than its worth. I ran a youtube video of a clean strat into the looper using the aux input, recording 20 seconds or so. Then with the looper playing back in "post" mode I could use HDEdit on my connected laptop to tweak patches. Obviously a youtube signal isn't going to be the same as my own guitar but the other issue is switching amp models and having the sound in your earphones jump higher in volume. I think you just have to set up a comfortable work space with your own guitar in hand, sound output going to good monitors and HDEdit available for longer sessions ( seated ) if you really want to get into the deep editing parameters and such. Most patches I find on CustomTone seem to have the amp parameters like Sag, cab parameters like res level and choice of cabinet/microphone at default. Not many seem to be digging that deep.
  18. I'd like to record my playing, and edit the tone with HDEdit while the looper plays back the unprocessed loop? Possible?
  19. My main amp in the HD500x is the AC30TB, so that's the one I care about. http://www.tgpwebzine.com/?page_id=91
  20. Tone Cut on the AC30 TB 1) clockwise cuts mids 2) clockwise cuts lows 3) counterclockwise to increase mids 4) clockwise cuts highs
  21. For many its just not possible to dial in patches with the PA because we only have access to it at church, once or twice a month. I could go in early for a rehearsal but I'd want to take my laptop since editing on the POD itself is a pain. At home I use a quality stereo system as my monitor and try to crank it up while playing along with a youtube recording of the song by the original band.
  22. Tried to improve the screen shots
  23. This uses a recommended combination of cab/mic to avoid phase problems. I had to tweak the bass on the amps ( two vox AC30s), reducing that quite a bit, reduced presence, used about 25% low cut. Resonance sounded better straight up in my case. General purpose-rhythm patch with Tube Drive/Parametric EQ both assigned to FS1 if you want more for a solo. Uber V-30 4x12 57 on axis XXL 4x12 121 Ribbon http://line6.com/customtone/tone/1361830/ http://foobazaar.com/podhd/toneGuide/cabsMics#dualCab-faves
  24. Using 500x in church. Mostly AC30 amp with a chain like: Noise Gate>Compressor>parametric EQ > ODrive ( mostly off ) > AC30 > Delay > Hall Reverb>Volume Pedal for overall patch volume. I'm just beginning to look at dual path patches where the same amp is used with different cab/mic combinations. MeAmBobbo has documents showing how to make this work.
  25. I've noticed something similar when a patch has a foot switch assigned to one of the two amps in the signal path. One amp winds up turned off. So I have to double-check all foot switch assignments. I don't assign FS to amps so assuming this happens when footswitch assignments are edited for other effects.
