Melissiah replied to Melissiah's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD

What's Your Favorite Acoustic?

www.monsieurmaxime.com/resources/Melissiah.zip It's called variax acoustic -
Just received my 89f and it's incredible. January: Buying a jtv69 and returning it to store cause model knob broken. February: Receiving a 2nd 69 and another model knob broken. I was pissed then I heard about the 89f. So they told me I can have a 89f in april if I'm patient. April: Still not there. Again I was pissed against my store cause sweetwater were already shipping thoses guitars since a few weeks. May: Still ont there June: Reported another month... grrrrr July: The boss feel bad about that so he borrow me a jtv69 until my 89f arrive and guess what? The 3rd knob was broken too... lol 19th july: Received my baby. I'm not a gibson neck type, I like fender for bluesy stuff. I almost kept the 69, except for that stupid knob it was a great guitar. When I play hard stuff like Dream Theater, Satriani, stratovarius I like Ibanez or musicman profile. The 89f neck is totaly awsome. The second after I put my fingers on the neck I feel like that they have been there forever. The sound looks a bit better that the 69 to my ears. It's a great guitar, thanks line 6. Two little con: Bridge noise when using tremolo on modeling. (like the 69 did) Knobs are often behind tremolo but it's not a problem for me cause I use a dream rig and I switch everyting with my feets

I always use position 5 for now and it's the gibson one. I'm a bit diseapointed that the martin sound worse to me and the other one in position 3 is a joke. Anybody prefer other ones than gibson? Am I missing something? -
What Guitar Emulation You Use?

Hi, for now I use T, spank, lester, custom 1 (hi-gain jtv89f), gibson acoustic and sitar. Anybody have success with other models? I feel like they all sound the same with small difference in eq. -
Hi, I can't create a good clean les paul sound that can be good with neck pickup and can also be good when I switch to bridge. The kinda of paradise city on bridge... or just a big fat lespaul on neck Thanks

Well it's time to jump in the pool. JTV-69 HD500 DT25 master at 55% 1: I don't expect peoples to like thoses sounds cause every presets I downloaded from custometone sound thin or like junk here. I mostly play plink floyd stuff and I can't beleive how the highway amp sound empty so I'm not using it often. 2: If you have some tips to enhance my sounds you are welcome. I am a new user, I am working on this for less than a month and I am not the kinda guy who will put 3 EQ's in my presets. 3: I always start with an existing sound but I forgot most of thoses creators, so my apologies. 1000 years of Christina Perri Acoustic capo at 3rd fret through PA Brit-J-45 ACDC like sound with a toggle fuzz face for fun Clean Chorus with auto strat pickup in position 2 Marshall rhytm (JCM-800) Marshall lead with a toggle wah (don't know wich wah to use yet) Marshall lead but with the whammy instead Metallica (mostly the justice meambobbo modified a bit) Pink Floyd muff (David high gain tones, muff with a tubedrive after to soften the fizz) (Good for mother, comfortably numb, sorrow, turning away...) I'd like a tip here to make it sound bigger Run like hell (auto T-model drop d, switch to neck pickup for chords) The wall delay The wall rhytm (a switch remove flange and add dist for chorus of the songs) The wall solo Variax acoustic All here in melissiah.zip www.monsieurmaxime.com/resources/Melissiah.zip

Dt25 Dt50 All 30 Volume-leveled Pre-amps - Hd500 Set List
Melissiah replied to Voodoods's topic in Tone Discussion
Oh no I won't. I don't have your patience with this. Thanks for the setlist by the way. I'm using it just to quickly compare amps but when I start to build a sound, I set mixer to 0, master to 50-60% and I adjust the volume of the patch to fit my others with the volume knob. I'm not saying that's the only good way to do it but from my readings on this forum I think it's a good start. Anyway I'm still at the starting stage messin around with same input vs dual... Have fun -
Hi DT25 combo I also have a mesa 4x12 vintage 30 closed back 8ohms I like the sound of DT25 alone, I like the sound of recto alone and I like the sound of boths using the 2 4ohms jack. Is it stupid doing this? It's 4 speakers against 1 per output Does the speaker in the combo will work more than the 4 others? Is it easier to acheive the perfect range of power tubes at low volume this way? Thanks
-
hum interesting, in front of all my patch I put the noise gate as saw in many readings I did and the reason to do this was to cancell stereo stuff. Anything to do with my previous concerns?
-
Weird, I haven't deceided yet wich religion to choose between guitar/same and guitar/something else but for now I'm set to global guitar/aux and I'm experiencing volume drop when muting channel B.
-
I read so much my head want to explode True or false: 1 To acheive the best sounds with hd500 and DT25 master should be between 55% and 60%? (Well it's loud as hell that's why I'm selling my mesa dual rectifier) 2 Channel volume doesnt affect sound so I should drop it like at 15% to be able to keep master between 55-60? What about mixer volume after the amp in chain? I saw many post saying to mute channel B even in single mono path config. But I have a sound drop doing so but I can compensate by raising channel volume. Is it good to mute channel B in single mono path config and why? many thanks

Dt25: 8000000a "unspecified Error" When Loading V2.0
Melissiah replied to Series13's topic in DT50 / DT25
drschultz Just Startin' Members 82 posts Posted 11 June 2013 - 05:39 PM Best Answer I fixed it. It was already registered. I rolled back the firmware to 1.00 then re-flashed to 2.00 and it took. I think it was the M-Audio drivers that fixed it. -
Well endless possibilities... curiously using the hi-watt cab remove the high crap and gives me more bottom. (on clean sound I hate Hi-Watt cause I feel too thin to do my pink floyd patch with it) Playing with EQ's can change everything but I think it will take a while to do my sounds. The good news is that everything seem to be there and waiting for me to tweak it to my ears and taste. :)

tx for answers. I'm currently playing with weird EQ's and reading that guy: http://foobazaar.com/podhd/toneGuide/eq#effects I'm pretty sure it's not ghost notes. Too bad they haven't modeled a pedal like mxr ten bands friendly EQ. If I have no solution in the end I already own that pedal so I'll put it in loop but I prefer selling it...

Hi, first since there are no dream rig section I don't know where to post this... Guitar to hd500 to dt25 via l6 link in combo output mode. Trying to replicate the sound of my dual rectifier and I'm pretty happy with my sound except an annoying high frequency that I can't name. Treble or presence dosnt seem to cut it. Now I feel like I hear that sound in all my patches, even cleans ones. Anyone knows what I am talking about? Should I use an EQ to try to cut it without altering the sound? I'm afraid to use the mid EQ boost technique cause usualy in metal sound we cut mids. Thanks

You can only choose one output mode or buy a 2nd hd500

Dt25 Firmware Update Error "invaliid Parameter"
Melissiah replied to drschultz's topic in DT50 / DT25
Got same problem but solved it easy. 1st I was thinking it was my cheap usb midi interface but that wasnt the problem. I just registered my dt25 as asked in monkey and it work the 1st time after many hours of failures. -
