  1. Had a friend come out and hear my band play. Said nice new marshall. He was floored when I said it was a Line6. I think it does a good job.
  2. With my HD 150 I also run Metal Zone pedal. I Run a clean tone with a tube drive but it just doesn't get the sound I want. And I want a clean and heavy tone on the same settings. I also use my GNX4 every now and then with the head to get more sounds. .. As for the the stomp not being loud you need to turn the level up on the stomp. I had this issue and that is how I fixed it. Anything below 25% volume and the stomp sounds soft, at 25% and above it is just as loud with no issues drives me crazy but I live with it.
  3. Just got my HD150 stack and got a FBV for it. Couple of things. One using it live I was on the wah settings when to turn if off and I guess I stepped to hard and the Pedal it self turned off? WTF? I also use a digitech which feels 100% better built. I have used that for 5 years with no issues. The LCD when blank etc. I had to reset the amp to bring it back up. Two. Has anyone added a Expression pedal to the side for Volume? If so what kind and how did it work. I would be nice to have a Volume, and a Wah.
  4. You can get them close and the Artist setting on the 150 are about spot on. But like said above pickups etc do make a difference. You can get close though. I know the 5 finger death punch and Metallica are close.
  5. I love the HD150 Gives me plenty of head room with sound. In the clubs I am using about 25% of the volume. out side about 50% max depending on size.
  6. I use both my pedals at the same time. I have the short board, and my GNX4. I am making a double stack pedal board so it takes up less space. I see what you are saying but I am not sure it can be done. report back and let us know. Cool idea.
  7. I am not sure it can control it. I use my Digitech GNX4 with my HD150 Head. No issue I just turn all the FX off, and put it on the head/Cab I want. Also you can use the FX with the pedal I have done this many times with no issues. Don't use the RJ45 that is for the shortboard
  8. If you have the short board why not use the built in wah?
  9. Love my HD150. I think the line6 has really come a long way with there solidstate stuff.
  10. Just plug it in. Leave everything on a clean tone. If it emulates amps, and cabs I leave my high, mid, low on 5. I use my Digitech GNX 4, and the Line6 effects. So I have to large pedal boards with a ton of pedals. I put the Digitech in bypass when using the line 6. when using the Digitech I setup a patch with a clean ton, and turn all the effects off. I have use the flang, and sounds boost while using the digitech and it works great. Just need to build a 2 tier pedal board to hold everything.
  11. Also been read that with high volume these digital knobs will drop down and turn the volume down. Check to see if at high volume if the master volume is not dropping due to all the shaking. If so there are a couple of youTube videos I have seen about adding washers to tighten up the knob.
  12. Top right corner in Spider edit there is a save to PC button.
  13. I use my digitech GNX with my HD150 no issues. Same as you Red Clean but high/mid/low all at 5. Sounds great. I then go into by pass mode on the GNX and use the line6 FX no need to unplug. Worked great at our last show last week.
  14. I had the same issue in my post below this. on the amp go to the preset you want. save the preset under your user presets. Open the spyder edit on your PC and move it where you want.
  15. Hu. I will play with it some more. Just glad there is a way to do it. and thanks for the help.
  16. So here is what I had to do. Open the Artist I wanted to use. and save it to a user preset on the amp. Then open Line6 edit and I can place it where I want. Only thing I notice is I can't save any where put spot 1 on each preset, and you can/will save over something you want need if you do that.
  17. ^ that was what I was thinking get to the artist tone on edit, and then save it as a user. Yeah I know the tone etc with change as it get louder. I am at about 25% of the way up on Master Volume at practice this week. Out side shows I would guess 50%/75% master volume, and the bars/clubs 50% max. I will find out more this week since we have shows but for the most part what I have heard with the inside FX, and my pedal board it sounds great.
  18. Sorry. Geek to really use this things. So for the artist/song Is there a way to pull it though the editing software and then save it as a user settings? I plan on still using my GNX for sounds the line6 doesn't have. Just 2 large pedals will take some time to get use to. Might need to build a double tier rack for them ;) So far I will say it sounds great. haven't had it past 25% volume so far but just been playing it at the house, and band practice. First show is this Friday with it.
  19. Really no replys? Not even on how to use the artist banks with the pedal?
  20. Ok just got HD15o, with the 4X12, and a FBV shortboard. I am coming from using my Behringer amp, using a Digitech GNX4 as my stomp box. I would like to switch mostly over to using the sounds on the HD150 but have some question. only really sat down and played with it for about a hour so far. This is what I normal use. I have patches in the GNX4 setup as I am the only guitarist in my band so I switch from clean to heavy all the time in songs, some time switch to 3/4 effects in 1 song depending on what we are playing. I also can turn things like Distortion, delay etc off with out changing effects. The GNX has 2 channels per effect so I could set up yellow and clean and then set up the red channel as Heavy. What I am seeing with the FBV it is one effect and that is it. You can add stomp "Not sure what that really does it is mostly gain" then modulation, delay, and reverb. There is no real way from going from clean to heavy with out switching the setting which would mean setting up 2 FX the same just one clean and one heavy? I am guessing the 2 patchs per song clean/heavy is what I am going to have to do but Just wanted to see. Is there a way to change the amp model with out touching the amp on the pedal? Also when I am using the amp I can get to the artist, preset, and User setting. It seems I can't get to the artist settings on the pedal? Again just learning.
