Received my replacement Helix LT from Sweetwater - the exp change button action under pedal is way better I added a small black washer which was a perfect fit into the round recessed area and it switches even easier now - happy camper - I didn't expect it to be much different boy I was wrong Thanks to Peterstrat for washer idea and support from Sweetwater guys
-
Thats what I thought just wasnt sure - reaper can be a bit confusing use studio one now and its awesome - glad you sorted out
-
Hi Guys: The great support at Sweetwater is going to personally check out the pedal operation and send me a new helix LT overnight – best support around – highly recommend this company
-
There is an alignment issue the bar is off center and not going into recessed area - glad your is working
-
Guys can anyone tell me that has had the LT and Helix big brother - is the pressure to engage pedal the same or easier on the Helix big brother compared to the LT ? thanks
-
Thanks Buddy I did and now just referred line6 to my post - I sent them a ticket week ago - going a bit slow for some reason
-
Thanks Phil I hear yah on stamping - that said even a perfectly aligned version I will bet its very hard to make the switch it is what it is - I dont want to beat a dead horse at least I know what I am dealing with after investigating it - thanks Phil
-
More info seems the bar is not aligned right if I push the pedal to the left and push it very hard it goes into recess and I hear click so that said I think it is what it is very hard to push in even if it was not a faulty unit so looks like I have to live with it - getting another one would still be very hard to engage the switch - I can use my work around not a big deal - is what it is
-
Plot thickens not sure how this exp change is suppose to work but I am assuming the bar is suppose to make some sort of contact with that recessed area but noticed on mine the rubber feet area bottoming out before the bar has a chance to get into the recessed area - not sure how this is suppose to work maybe someone can enlighten me of the functionality If in fact the bar is suppose to contact the recessed area no wonder its not working
-
The problem is the design itself people are horsing the pedal and breaking them - I didnt look into the functionality of the pedal until after I bought it who would have thought this would have been an issue - should have been a switch like most pedals - the design is flawed from the get go - sorry Line6 is what it is - the bar under the pedal is suppose to contact whatever the heck that is on the Helix You have to push down way to hard to engage and I didnt not going to break it - so I just use it for volume blocks and a Misson for wah - only way I can deal with it - the big brother Helix is doing something inside the unit so assuming its a better situation On the LT you have this area that needs to react with the bar under foot pedal and its silly - ok done with the ranting - anyone wanting to slam this thing to get it to work is going going to break the pedal at some point so as stated I luv the unit and will avoid its dual functionality - the only thing that does bug me is if I did want to sell it someday what do I tell the next buyer Heres pics of interaction or lack of - should have been a no muss switch under that pedal - doesnt make sense to me
-
Hope it helps :)

This maybe
-
Sorry to hear that
-
Cant hurt - good luck buddy
-
Maybe reload latest firmware - I know its a long shot but may be worth a try if you haven't all ready
-
Good luck sorry I was no help
-
Hopefully a stomp user can help you out - not having that unit I am not sure
-
Baffled and I cant load it into a Helix Lt to try it - not compatible I noticed it says Main L/R top left gray area change that to just guitar maybe ?
-
Shouldnt say bypass it should say position - click on bypass and make it say position

Hi Buddy: Using Sensi's HD650 - 300ohm here but I use a little dot III as a preamp and a Emotiva A-100 its a bit overkill having both amps but at least one should be used to power those headphones - its amazing difference - also as I have told you a software pre-amp for you OS would make a huge difference even without an amp which is what I do - the rig kontrol is not an amp its a pre-amp - and not that powerfull hence my purchase of decent head phone amps You dont need to buy new Sennheisers - got mine off ebay - lots of deals there :) 190$ and theres others - thesew are what I have massdrop HD650 https://www.ebay.com/itm/MASSDROP-SENNHEISER-HD-6XX-REFERENCE-CLASS-HEADPHONES-NIB/303092087643?epid=12021955064&hash=item4691b23b5b:g:vrkAAOSwx95bD0vg Amps are not cheap though https://www.ebay.com/itm/Little-Dot-MK-III-HiFi-SEPP-Vacuum-Tube-Headphone-Amplifier-Stereo-Audio-Preamp/271794629635?hash=item3f4838ec03:g:jvEAAOSwlelcGYFS You dont want to know what the Emotiva cost 385$ on ebay - yikes just go with little dot III - I compared them not much different - other then Little Dot is a bit warmer Yikes you mentioned above you bought a tube headphone amp ? which one - should have made a difference if not you need a pre amp software for your mac - in windows I use Equalizer APO with the Peace addon works amazingly well for a mac you need to find something All that said get some massdrop Sensi's without those your really not going to have the entire package - I have tons of headphones that got tossed until I bought Sensi's - all set now
-
Suppose to be on its way sometime this week, just spoke with them - let you know but I dont expect any issues :)
-
try now - get error message incompatible ? Yup do not have stomp - just Helix LT
-
Not saying this is the issue but I played with this button see if this helps - each preset is different from what I am seeing - sometimes I have to hit this button on or off
-
Tried with hand no go - must be faulty no wonder I am frustrated- so thought I would remove my Ernie Ball volume pedal from beginning of chain and use Helix pedal for volume only and Mission for wah or pitch whammy - seems to be much easier now to get around - I can live with it now - less confusing So exp 1 is volume (Helix on board pedal) - exp 2 is whammy effects (Mission external pedal) Its easier now to keep it simple - now just have to play in helix edit to make sure exp 1 and exp 2 are set properly in each preset Now I can keep track of whats what an extra volume pedal was the confusing part - guess I have an Ernie Ball pedal for sale - to bad I liked it but not really needed now - rather spend time playing then messing around :) thanks Guys
