Thanks guys dont remember doing this before it was always exp 1 default for volume and exp 2 was wah - no biggie found it odd so I have to go into all my presets and change volumes to exp 1 and save

Hi Guys: Noticing since 2.81 update - volume pedal is assigned to number 2 in all my presets but it needs to be number 1 - is there a global switch that reverses it so I dont have t manually assign it every time ? not at my rig right now thought I ask

Hes right imo about Zakk / Van Halen - not feeling it out of a helix - thats what I've been chasing - will keep helix for all other stuff but have a Boss DR-880 on the way for that kick azz tone I'm looking for after hearing Liquid Charlies videos - need to give that a go

Yes I was thinking the pickups have an effect also - I have humbuckers on my Ibanez S Series in it with Ibanez stock pickup in the middle (neck & bridge) I put classic humbuckers in the first Ibanez because my Alex Lifeson LP sounded very good with Helix and they are tamer and sounderd more true to desired tone at least for Pink FLoyd tunes I have another S Series premium showing up tomorrow with Dimarzios (top of the line) in all three positions So I will compare them tomorrow - being a floyd fan the humbuckers with helix tones is very good but not so much on the driven side of things I'm thinking - well see So far few I checked a lot of VH tones only a few I checked are close but not quite the same - Charlie is one hell of a guitar player - he doesnt reply to his comments on YT which is odd

Thats ok I respect you guys - very much and all the help you pass on Just luv this tone and got really excited about having helix tone that sounds close to it - usually just a huge floyd fan but shredding has been a blast lately and without the correct tone its a bit tougher to sound the part Those squeels and pinch harmonics and chugging is spot on - I know he does some tweaking in daw but not much

I knew I would get a rise out of the resident Gurus :) not kidding money in hand can this be reproduced for me - not good with making tones - I can tweak close ones but not from scratch - thanks

I'm with you just thought I throw that out there - also had a disconnect again tonight so I guess I can rule out the cable also - didnt do this in 2.71 - hopefully things get worked out soon

Also bought Eric's Van Halen tones and Fremen 5150 tones they sound nothing like this

If you have another usb cable from helix to pc - try it - I changed my cable when I noticed helix edit randomly loosing connection to my LT - strange because its the new cable that came with unit - but after 3 hours of use no disconnects yet - knock on wood

Try this may work sounds like your driver is messed up Uninstall all line6 software including their drivers Make sure you download the latest driver for your operating system - latest updater software and helix edit Download ccleaner and install it then reboot pc After reboot run ccleaner click on left side registry - then down below click scan for issues - click fix selected items ask for a backup disregard no need - hit clean done shut it down and restart your pc Now install your new line6 driver first - helix edit next - then line6 updater Run updater and click on image shows your device it will bring up another screen that will show you all the older and new updates choose the top one 2.81 Install it and let it do its thing Hope this helps - you need to start from ground zero if you have a driver issue otherwise its a mess - driver needs to be resolved first Make sure you download proper file versions especially driver for your pc Need help let Us know what your pc specs are Operating system would be a great start

Well that sux - not a fan of win 10 - running win 7 here Yup on my killer win 10 system for flightsim - new win 10 update would fry my sim install - adios no time for that crap - more productive just playing guitar now

Did you give the exe all admin rights and also run as admin - you prob did just throwing it out there

Get Equalizer APO if on a pc - huge difference in sound capabilities especially gain (volume) also eq - I use this with peace addon also with my amps really boosts the sound stage Equalizer APO - free https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/ Peace addon - free https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/ If your on a mac your out of luck nothing comes close to this on mac side of things and its only for a pc and its free :)

Buy some Fremen tones and you will see what Helix can do - promise - they will make your day especially if your a pink floyd fan - sound incredible - the "Mother" preset alone is amazing Also invest in high quality headphone amp - I actually use 2 its crazy amazing - amp 1 is emotiva and use a little dot III as a preamp as it is tubed to warm things up - pricey but well worth it The emotiva acts more of a digital sound and little dot acts like a warmer natural sound - I use the volume dials of each to go more digital or more natural Lastly get a nice pair of Sennsi 650's of ebay you will be in jamming heaven

2.81 has issues ? how do you know that - just came out

Silky smooth update Just installed Heix Edit 2.81 Launched updater - smooth install all good so far but I dont use Helix LT to the extents you guys do Thanks LINE6 Folks for the quick turn around - great support
