  1. 1. Use both paths—1 for guitar, 2 for vocals. 2. Place a split after the last processing block on both paths. 3. Drop the merge to create duplicate outputs. Set output A on both paths to XLR and output B on both paths to 1/4". 4. From the Global Settings > Ins/Outs menu, set Headphones Monitor to 1/4". In the above scenario, the 1A and 2A output blocks control the relative mix of the guitar and vocals from the XLR outs, and 1B and 2B output blocks control the relative mix of the guitar and vocals from the headphones (and 1/4" outs). So yeah, it seems doable. There's no special matrix mixer screen or anything (all routing is accomplished from the home screen), and I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but... probably?
  2. Sorry if I'm missing something. If there were ever a Helix plugin, why would reamping be necessary at all? All the processing would be right in the DAW, and you could just perform a bounce-in-place, which is often faster than real time.
  3. Sounds like you're basically looking for scenes or snapshots. Helix can't currently do this.
  4. 1) No; Helix can record and play back one loop. 2) Conceivably, yes, but not at launch. 3) 3 oscillators, so assume duplicate parameters for each oscillator. 4) Legally, we're not allowed to talk about future plans.
  5. DTs do this. Helix's file management is very different from that of M13 and M9. The latter boxes are designed specifically to behave as closely as possible to real pedals on your pedalboard. Helix is fully programmable, and there's a huge advantage in being able to revert to when the preset was last saved. Perhaps an optional auto-save feature might work, but it probably shouldn't be on by default.
  6. Currently, cap touch is used exclusively for selecting items and assigning footswitches. Once the full editor ships, you'll be able to program the scribble strips and custom LED ring colors from your Mac/PC, but not via SysEx/MIDI.
  7. 1. Yes. 2. No; the programmable footswitches can be set to latching or momentary 3. Each preset can assign a single MIDI or CV message to each footswitch, expression pedal, and Variax knob, as well as six "Instant" buffered commands that engage upon preset recall. These can be layered with any other footswitch assignments (block bypass, controllers, etc.). Yes, but it's not available separately—it's part of the Amp (or Amp+Cab) block.
  8. Not a video, but we busted out a few new audio clips: https://soundcloud.com/line6/sets/helix/s-EoyHX
  9. Okay, so that means no one gets any high gain amps at all until all fifteen are finished (plus other amps from other submissions), even if it takes years? ;)
  10. Just a reminder everyone... If you can, submit every model, feature, tweak, or other suggestion as a separate IdeaScale submission. Otherwise, there's no way for us to know which item everyone's voting up (or down). For example, if you list fifteen high-gain amps in a big list and everyone votes it up, which amps are we to tackle first? Cheers!
  11. Disregard. Just tried it with my iPhone. Totally works. Cool.
  12. You need the Apple USB camera kit, which only supports iPad (the only iOS device with class-compliant audio and MIDI). iPhones and iPods can't be connected via USB to Helix. EDIT: I'm totally wrong. Just tried it with my iPhone. Works.
  13. I don't believe we've tested Helix with Android devices, but if and when class-compliant drivers shake out and become more commonplace, we'll likely take a good look at them.
  14. It could be, once Google fully supports class-compliant audio.
  15. Yeah, AMPLIFi and Firehawk FX's ToneMatch feature (crowd-sourced cloud-based tone sharing) is totally different from AxeFX's ToneMatch feature.
  16. A Mac, PC, or iPad (with camera kit) works great with no routing necessary. If one wants to hook up a CD player, cassette deck, minidisc player, or... Zune, Helix still has plenty of inputs. ;)
  17. Yes, but the Aux in isn't stereo; you'll want to use two returns.
  18. Nothing's changed. Helix is on track to ship by the end of summer; Helix Rack and Helix Control will be available sometime this fall. If something changes, I'll let you all know.
  19. It's actually an auto calibration procedure. Manual calibration is no longer required.
  20. If one had a long afternoon, they could conceivably write the Helix manual just from reading threads on this forum and that monster one on The Gear Page. I'd really like for the manual to not be full of surprises when it finally drops; hence, I've been curbing enthusiasm where appropriate.
  21. Dealers will know the official release date once they receive shipping confirmation. Anything short of that is pure conjecture on their parts.
  22. IIRC, performing a full backup in the Helix app should include any Global Settings as well.
  23. Here's what I'm using with Helix: Studio—ADAM P22A and Mackie HR824 monitors Stage—One or two L2ts, depending on the venue's size Headphones—Sennheiser HD600 (flat, very detailed, sound great, comfortable for long sessions, and you can replace parts easily)
