  1. According to LIne 6, they're balanced... "Balanced XLR Main Outs, 1/4" stereo full-range balanced outputs, 1/4" Amp Out, 1/4" TRS Headphone Output" http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/firehawk/firehawk-faq-r715
  2. That's good to know. I'll try it out. Thanks.
  3. I get this as well. The way I get back on track is to close the Firehawk app and restart it. This means double clicking the home button so that the fanned display of recent apps appears (sorry, the best way I can describe it!) and then swipe the Firehawk app up. Then start the app again in the usual way by clicking on it and I think you have to log in to Line 6 cloud. Sorry it's a bit of a wordy explanation but, in practice, it just takes a few seconds.
  4. Hi, This is the Firehawk FX forum. Try reposting in Helix.
  5. Sounds great. I also love that vid of your son rocking out at the school talent show!
  6. Have you tried A and C then retrying the update through a PC? Follow this link... http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/firehawk/firehawk-troubleshooting-r745
  7. I love it. A bug fix that creates bugs!
  8. Strings Direct have the white ones for £3.99 plus delivery... http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/effects-c6/effects-accessories-c135/mooer-effects-pedals-footswitch-toppers-in-various-colours-pack-of-5-p11150
  9. Made me chuckle, and definitely worth a repost.
  10. Follow up to my last post, this bloke will post 10 to the US for £6.00 plus £2.00 international postage - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pack-of-10-Mooer-Effects-Pedal-Stomp-Box-PEDAL-TOPPERS-Choice-of-10-Colours-/201846586752?var=&hash=item2efefe7d80:m:m3FHbwR9oQyhjfd-BXXppWg#shpCntId Looks like white is out of stock but other sellers might post to the US.
  11. Have you tried ebay? There are a few people over here selling packs of 5 on ebay for £3.99 delivered or £5.50 for 10.
  12. In a recent thread I posted a link to an earlier thread about Barefoot buttons to allow easy access to the second row buttons (the stompbox switches). Then I accidentally stumbled across another much cheaper product. I found the Mooer button toppers at Stringsdirect.co.uk. I ordered the white ones, hoping that they would be translucent and when they arrived, they were just what I was hoping for. I appreciate that the Barefoot ones are probably way better engineered and have the benefit of the set screw to secure it (whereas the Mooer just click into place) but at £3.99 for the Mooer compared with £50 + import taxes for the Barefoot, it was a bit of a no-brainer. A post like this is no good without pics, so see below for ambient light and dimmed light in a home setting... Comp, OD and Reverb on; Delay and Mod off - Same but darkened room - Packaging for reference - Thanks for reading!
  13. I don't know your amp but maybe it needs something plugged in the "Send" socket of your amp's effects loop to activate the FX loop? Also, have you checked whether the Firehawk output is set to stomp/line? I run my FH through a ZT Lunchbox at home and get the best results connecting the XLR outputs of the FH to the AUX input of the ZT using a 2xXLR to 1/8" cable. This automatically bypasses the gain and tone controls of the ZT so that only the volume control works, feeding the signal through the power amp stage on the ZT. The added benefit is that by running the FH from the XLR outputs, I can also stream music/youtube etc. With that setup, everything sounds amazing!
  14. I think the thread you are thinking of is this one... http://line6.com/support/topic/25228-easy-access-to-back-row-buttons/?hl=barefoot
  15. Cool. I'm looking forward to an update once you've had a good chance to try out that combo.
  16. Thanks mcbeddall. I'll give the headphones a try. And I'll also have a look at the Amplifi vids.
  17. What a guy! Thanks a lot, Peter. I'm going to go and have a play with my shelves. All the best, Daniel.
  18. Thanks Peter. They're fantastic. I don't really get how the equaliser works. I follow what you did in the video, but how do you know/decide where to put the different frequency shelves? And what do the shelves do? Thanks, Daniel.
  19. Hey, Line 6. Can we please have some more Firehawk video tutorials? There are 3 dozen for the Pod HD range, a score for the Amplifi, 9 for Helix, but only 2 for the Firehawk FX/1500. Please create more to show users how to create different tones, to explore the different settings, and to get the best out of the Firehawk.
  20. Perhaps post this in the Pod HD and/or DT50/DT25 forums?
  21. The cynic in me tells me that Line 6 have written the Firehawk FX off. But I agree with your comment about the pricing. The optimist in me hopes that the Helix LT is part of a strategy to reposition its product line. The Helix LT could be considered to be more of a replacement for the ageing HD500X (which was once the premium Line 6 modeller), with the line up then being: Amplifi > Firehawk FX > Helix LT > Helix Floor/Rack. Any thoughts?
  22. Just had an email to tell me that Helix 2.20 has been released. I'm so happy for them.
