Is your Firehawk running the latest firmware? If the screen briefly says v.1.20 when you switch it on, you're up to date. If not, update the firmware first via usb and a pc. If you're running v1.20 already, try resetting the unit by holding down the master volume knob and the tap tempo footswitch then switch your Firehawk on. See if that solves it.

Is 'way deal' a wah pedal but with crazy spell correction? As picpic has mentioned, put it in the FX Loop. Use a cable from FX send on the FHFX to the wah input then a cable from the wah output to FX return. In the editor app, switch on your FX Loop block and drag it in front of the amp.

Don't forget that on Firehawk, the guitar volume is controllable separate to the overall volume output, in order to mix it in with any music you are streaming. Guitar vol is usually set lower than the unit volume. Press the large volume button to get to the white volume lights and check that the guitar is turned up as well.

If the factory reset (power on whilst pressing down the big master volume knob and the tap tempo switch) doesn't work, try opening a support ticket or just go back to your retailer for a refund/exchange.

Cool. Have you uploaded any of your tones? I'm interested in almost all of the bands you mention.

Don't forget that with Firehawk FX (or the foot controller you can get for Firehawk 1500), you can turn individual effects on and off within the preset whereas I think with Amplifi you can only change between presets when using the foot controller. It makes a big difference and I think it is worth the difference in price for that and the HD effects. Of course, YMMV.

Firehawk FX through the Firehawk 1500? Sweet set-up. I've just checked and there's about £100 difference between the FBV3 and Firehawk FX so you might as well get the FH FX rather than the FBV3 and have the redundancy, as you say, in case the FX goes down. If you've had Helix and now FH, which do you prefer, and why?

I'm struggling to get a really epic sounding whooshing noise on a slow speed from any of the flangers. If you know it, I'm trying to get something like the whooshing noise at the end of Made of Stone on Blackpool Live by the Stone Roses. Any ideas for which flanger model and settings to go for?

If you save them to 'My Tones' or publish them to the cloud then they will be saved on Line 6's servers. When you reinstall the app and log in to your account then your tones should be there. If you delete your Line 6 account (which you won't do simply by reinstalling the app) then of course any tones not published will be lost.

LOL. I bought mine new in around June/July (I forget) and it already had v.1.20 installed (a sticker on the box told me so!).

You're planning on returning it because you bricked it by not following the instructions, which recommends using a USB cable but you decided to do it via bluetooth? I suppose the retailer won't know the difference between faulty product and user fault. Not trying to apportion blame/shame. Just thinking it through. After all, it's an imperfect system and if the Bluetooth connection was better on these units, you probably could have updated OTA in the first place. Did you get anywhere with the support ticket you raised? What did you decide in the end?

Maybe try a different cable if you're still having difficulty. Best of luck.

Hi, I don't think it's possible. I had an Amplifi 75 a while back and had some tones saved. Using the same log in details on my Firehawk, the old tones weren't there. Possibly because the Firehawk uses a lot of tones that the Amplifi doesn't have, or to try to differentiate between the two models. Who knows.

I don't know whether this is the answer to your problem, but there is difference between Save and Save As Save will overwrite the existing file but Save As.. will generate a new file.
