Hi buddy, No need to delete the post, I also enjoyed even if you think it was not enough valid for you, there are dozens of horrible posts out there....anyway I was waiting for some results from pfsmith0 and after that give some colaboration as well... The tests that I made, quickly, the cleans reacted not as well as high gain, but hey, maybe personal taste ? Hope to see you soon talking about this topic again

Do you still use the same patches when you had carvin power amp and cab or they really sound totally different that you needed to recreate them again?

You have good tones there, however I put combo power amp, direct/pa was too horrible with my gear. How do you set it up with yours? You seem to like uber with tread cab, bass 0.... What guitar are you using? Thanks a lot

+1 The same configuration with my mustang 3 v2 without modelling. But I also mix pod's full amp no cab with mustang's cab. The best physical cab sound? Subjective and personal

Mcbeddall Yes, yes The sound reminded me an old stereo system that I had, with a function karaoke, which put the volume of the voice track lower than the instruments....

Hey Mcbedfall I've just tested what you wrote with my mustang 3 v2. The looper mode sounds more coloured than using normal mode + studio pre amp, no cab. I usually put some music to play to notice that. If it sounds too weird I imagine the "colour" or something is affecting the tone. That's what happened with the settings you described. And the volume drop. If you have a chance to test it, and confirm it, it would be nice So, I will keep my settings as usual but maybe put this as 2nd way of settings, not my main though Anyone has an opinion on this?

That's my case, I'd like to see something creative and different from my own patches and possibly add to them. That's the idea. Hope some others share some new examples Thanks jtsc

Using return in, not guitar input. Ex: tread plate, less bass, no cab Use studio pre, put a cab 4x12V. Let me know what you think. I don't use 4cable method. But if you have a nice sound from it, tell me please

I have excellent results using full model no cab from pod HD and mustang cabs. Output: direct IMO the mustang cab sounds better than pod's

I agree there is no accurate sound when different gears, ok, lets forget it soundwise and think about "functionality wise"....

hello guys I'd like to know what is the best custom tone in your opinion. I dont want to spend a lot of time searching for good ones (evaluating etc). I know that it can sound horrible with my gear, but I could use it to learn or test different configurations/combinations. My patches are ok, I just need to have new insights.... examples with different amps would be nice, mostly Mesa boogie...or high gain for podhd 500 or 500x thanks

I use sony studio monitor headphones. Your headphone should not be too bass or too bright IMO

Or maybe because you learn a lot with HD, now that everything seem easier....bad and good thing at the same time

If you create a fake clip where pod vs pod higher volume, people would say higher volume is better....IMO arislaf, thanks for all the effort put on this..... phil, can you show us a clip where the strenghs of the units are well showed?

Humming and buzzing you described was also my problem and even boss noise suppressor couldn't help. It seems distortion pedal should be avoided in fx loop

To the OP How do you know that? I don't see any evidence that they are working on old pod HD....maybe they don't even read this forum anymore lol... FIX the current bugs would be my dream.... They will definitely bring us something that can be converted from helix and make profit from it, like bundles etc. But things for free... Even correction patches....Forget it
