I'm not complaining, just want to know the reason. Joel, so if I ask L6 they would say: we left em out because they are not popular as others? Has nobody ever asked this question? If it is quality or time or simplification....I won't argue.

Hi guys Seeing the list of amps of legacy products, we see many amps that are currently unavailable on pods helix etc. Why? Low definition ? Is there any reason that l6 couldn't just port the way they are ( even if is lower quality) to have more options? Sorry if this has been asked but I'm new to this, started with pod hd. When I see pod x3 amp list, I feel that there is a strong reason they did not keep REmodelling or porting.

Yeah, I ll get it on first drop price of the revised, bug free version
-
I will not buy so soon, cause I prefer leting the early adopters be the testers for me. Who knows an upgraded version comes out after the first year? Helix2 or HelixX....just kidding

Hi i have mustang 3 v2 and connect my pod hd500 out to mustang s return. The patches in mustang are set to studio preamp nocab. I was told this is the cleanest, now, I have been mixing pods pre amp models with mustang cabs. For me it sounds better. Try pre amp treadplate with 4x12v cab(mustang) for example. Set to amp/combo return. Let me know if you like

Nico i fully agree with you, as I said. Imho It is all related to hardware limitation. it should be noticeable more by experts using graphics etc, sound wise, it is the dynamics or "behaviour" of the sound when playing. Hardware limitation could possibly mimic these to get close to reality. Think about old multi fx pedals and today's, technology was the limitation right? Or better capture sound software? Why is podhd better than x3 live? Thanks for the link, interesting, but I was talking sound wise.

Nico, being long time user, do you know where we can find a list of all those bad things on pod hd? Maybe L6 have it and corrected on HX modelling. As they did with IDEAS They will never say 'we removed the blanket and replaced the bad cabs' LOL Thanks for all your inputs

I agree with you. As I told you, my friend prefers x3live. He tested pod hd for 2 weeks and said it was terrible. Honestly, I think he did not know how to setup properly, as my one other friend. The thing is by default, people get bad sound because they need to learn it. Not being plug and play does not mean bad gear. Maybe 80% of the people that dislike hd is because they did not know how to setup. We can say we know how to set it up but all this time spent we should have spent on playing. My friends keep saying this. And they play better than me lol. After hx, hd started sounding bad lol. The Unknown it is much better ...so HX < HD< X3 Slo is hd, deprecated !

A friend of mine still prefers his x3 live. I'm new to this. I've been hearing that hd has a blanket on the sound and its cabs are bad. Anything else?

Comparing amps that were HX scaled down to HD with original hx would be a good idea. I think, we would know how much better is hx

Lol sell you piano and be a keyboardguy

Huge learning curve, why learn if in the future you won't use. Why buy hd500 if you will be sad not having the newest version? Podhd is losing attention, less support, updates, price drop etc. It is like buying a playstation 3 or gta4 lol, they are Why buy hd500 if you will be sad not having the newest version? Podhd is losing attention, less support, updates, price drop etc. Will it support win 10? 14....? It is like buying a playstation 3 or gta4 lol, they Are nice but....

how long since you last switched off your pod (world record attempt)

I turn it off because when creating/modifing patches, after saving, there is a bug. It only gets solved after rebooting. -
I agree with you, sometimes I think everyone should start a topic like this: Hi friends, I love line 6, have 10 years of experience. Start the topic.... Otherwise you will see 10 posts about anything but the subject. Happened so often.
-
Hope it is not the case Solution: When I save a patch, I reboot the unit to be sure. You can see the problem when comparing two patches during creation http://line6.com/support/topic/14187-patch-creation-bug/?do=findComment&comment=102154

I second that Also the second version is always better, I will wait for helixX (as hd500x) lol Or stable software release(bug corrections since I still see bugs on pod hd500...) And knowledge / workaround base improvement
-
Not worth it, get something else.... A new pedal or save for helix (next generation)
-
Pro vs cons, or maybe that accelerometer/sensor should be used.....otherwise bad designed?
-
You re right, I'm not sure but it seems there is an eq for l3t, not in l2t?
-
You should use global eq to correct those nuances....or not enough?
-
I agree with you, thanks. I was thinking for example if there was a specific type of IR for guitar amps (power amps) instead of eq live voiced cabs. Of course there are many different power amps. In this case line6 DTs would be the base for their tests. I'm not sure, but maybe DTs already use something better than live voiced cabs. I personally avoid live voiced cabs even in guitar amps. Thanks again
