I setup 7CM with two Roland Blues Cube Artists using both fx loops, it works but the sound was thin compared to how the amps sound normally. The signal path was just a drive block followed by two fx loop blocks, then a stereo delay and stereo reverb. After watching that pedal show where they demonstrate polarity using stereo into two amps I think this is my problem, however I cannot find a way to invert the polarity of one of the fx loops and I don’t run a parallel path. Is anyone running the HxFx in 7CM stereo into two amps, is there a way to invert the polarity of one of the sends ? Thanks, Lee

I'm having the same Squealing using the HXFX in 4CM into a Roland Blues Cube artist, it's fine until I use an overdrive pedal on the 4CM patch at rehearsal volume.

I Have the same issue with the HXFX, if I use an FX Loop block, I lose tone. It thins the natural sound I get direct into the amp; I can test by pressing mode and tap at the same time and bypassing the HXFX. It's easily noticeable how much thinner the sound gets, even on a patch that only has the FX Loop block. I've tried the HXFX with two amps and get the same results, Line 6 should be able to replicate this, I've seen several posts from users having this issue. I guess if you’re really used to the sound of your amp and don’t always use affects you notice it straight away, if you always play with effects or don’t use the loop then you wouldn’t hear it.

Thanks for replying, I also tested with my Roland Blues Cube Artist. I use both of these with my standard pedal board which is instument level so I set the HXFX to instument level in global settings, I believe this is correct for both amps. I got the same results from the BCA, my feeling is that the fx loop block in the HXFX is not transparent. The BCA has an effects loop on/off built into the amp, I tested it on and off and the HXFX fx loop changes the tone on both positions. I found I get the best results with the fx loop block mix at 50%, there is still a change in tone but it's less noticable and I did'nt percieve a volume drop ! I will raise a ticket, but I'm guessing as it's been out a while they wont fix it.

I'm having the same issue with my HXFX and Blackstar AMED1 in 4CM, just an fx loop block in the preset and a percieved volume drop when turned on. I have the fx loop block assigned to a footswitch and it's very noticable when you engage the fx loop how the volume drops, however using a decible meter i can see the volume does not drop. What I percieved as a volume drop was a drop in the bottom end and a thinner tone when the effects loop is engaged, as there is nothing else in the preset this has to be the HXFX changing the EQ when the fx loop block is engaged. So as far as I can see this is a bug and should be fixed by Line 6, I don't expect such a drastic EQ change just by engaging the fx loop block. If you set the mix to 50% the volue drop goes away, but you can hear the tone change !

So I have the Prime, also Helix, Kemper stage and GT1000. I’ve had them all out side by side, used the looper, created patches and cloned a couple of amps. I’m going to clone some pedals later today. hopefully this will help you guys rather than listening to opinions from people who have only read posts and watched videos. It’s large, let’s just get that out of the way. If your looking for a fly rig then this is way too big and it’s got some weight to it. however it has its upside, it’s only a little bit larger than the Helix floor but the stomp spacing means your less likely to hit the wrong one, something I do when playing and singing using the Kemper stage. It also has that nice large touch screen, I wasn’t sure if I’d like it but it works really well. The profiles are as good as my Kemper, and I find the process easier. Maybe because I’ve had the Kemper for a while I was used to profiling and didn’t have any issues, I’ve watched videos where some have had issues with a particular amp but my victory, fenders and H&K TM 40 Deluxe all worked fine. My personal opinion on the modelling is that it’s on par with the Helix and GT1000, the helix has more amps and effects but HR have only just released the Prime so that could improve over time. I found the default patches to be … let’s just say I made my own. Within a couple of hours I was whizzing around that touch screen making patches that I was really happy with. I’ve not used the vocal side yet, probably do that over the weekend, but I’ve found the effects on the guitar to be very usable. I also have several nice pedals I’m going to clone, plus my brother collects pedals so I’ll borrow some of his too. One of the first things I noticed once I’d got the hang of the UI was how much time I spent “Playing the guitar”. I created some loops which is so easy to use; and just improvised for like two hours. I sat there with my headphones on and was just away in my own world playing guitar. Now that may sound like a strange thing to say, but I normally end up fiddling around trying to get the sound I’m after for ages on the others ! There’s still a few things I haven’t tried yet, like creating snapshots with different parameters etc. but I’ll do that this weekend when I try the vocal side. in summary, if the size isn’t an issue for you then try one. I got mine from Gear4Music on 30 day’s return, if you don’t like it then send it back. But I think once you have one in front of you for a few hours you’ll start to feel reluctant to let it go :) I’m hoping Tone Junkie is going to release his Kemper catalog for the Prime, now that would be awesome. ;)

I have a pair of these, it has DSP so you can set it as a floor monitor or FOH. The live setting as I understand it is it’s FRFR mode :)

I was very interested in the Catalyst 100 when they came out, but the lack of functionality just cripples the amp for gigging, and most home users don't need 60/100 watts. I don't buy the `it's not a traditional modelling amp` explanation either, its literally got digital fx from the Helix so yes it's a modelling amp not a solid state amp. Maybe this amp was aimed at Helix and HX Stomp users etc, it's too powerful for most home users, and unless you use a pedal board its too limited fx wise. To compete with the Katana MK2 it would have to match the five simultaneous fx plus reverb, and have a comparable foot switch, such a shame !

Ok, so I get that if you have an iPad or android tablet it would be nice if you could run Helix Edit/Native. But this has never been an option, plus if line 6 where willing to put in the effort to Develop these two not insignificant applications along with the supporting cloud integration/services and technical support they would charge for them in the same way they do with native. And it’s a risk for them, because many users wouldn’t be willing to pay, and I really doubt they are willing to develop these apps for free. So unless they have market research saying enough helix users would be willing to pay around $100 each for them I don’t see it happening. IMO you’ve invested in the helix, just get a budget laptop from eBay which will also have the storage for backing up those presets and config you’ve spent hours creating.

You should be able to use the fx send, but as there is no load built into the PC you cannot use it like a cab !
-
Hi, I’ve used the PC 212 with my TM18 head. I connected the XLR / Redbox to the PC XLR 1, I set the PC212 to FRFR as the TM18 has emulated line out. sounded really good but I did have to change the EQ significantly from using the H&K 1x12 cab
-
I recently got the PC212 and so far I think the built in speaker mode sounds the best. I’m going to try uploading some IR’s to the cab and different cabs on the helix in FRFR mode as I’d like to mix and match if possible. But the built in speaker sims do give that amp in the room vibe, I find using the tilt legs on the back of the cab and leaning it back gets the best result.

Unless you have the LT, then it's $299. So not knowing about the software version I decided to buy the LT which does everything I need plus it's my first venture into modelling at this level, until now I'd only used Amplitube on my iPad etc and felt that spending over a $1000 was enough. Now I find that because I only have the LT and not the floor I have to pay three times more for the Native version, my LT was not three times cheaper than the floor so why do I have to pay so much more? At $99 I would have bought it, and I'm guessing there are others who feel as I do and would also have purchased Native for $99. I'm just a home / open mic guy who also does some home recording, and as others have said the Native version is a convenience and not a necessity. I'm sure a bigger convenience for some than others but still a convenience, and for me $299 is more than I'm willing to pay just so I don't have to get the actual hardware out. Maybe I'm missing the point, maybe the Native version isn’t meant for people like me. Maybe it’s only for those professionals who paid the extra for the floor or for real studios that can get their money back from clients? Maybe it’s a way of getting back the money I saved because I bought the LT and not the floor? Either way I feel it’s a shame that the difference in price between the floor owners and LT owners is so great, I’m sure if they just said it’s $99 for all Helix owners more of us would have purchased it and that would mean a wider user base which can only be a good thing. Just my 2¢ worth. BTW I’m British so had to convert the currency in case it’s a little out

I’m loolig at getting a small modelling fx unit with earphones, it would also be good to have monitor etc. I’ve been looking at the Boss GT 1 and the Moore GE 200 along with the firehawk and TT. The firehawk is a little to big I think but the TT is great size but the only one that’s not in a pedal format, not sure I care too much about that though it’s a nice to have. Anyway, am I comming to the Amplifi TT party too late? Is the feeling that this is still a current solution, I understand that it’s what it is etc but no one wants to buy something that’s about to be discontinued. Are the TT owners happy, would say buy it anyway it’s great as it is and don’t worry about how current it is? Or should I carry on looking elsewar ? I appreciate that only I can make the final decision but you guys who own these units will be able to offer your opinion on how good thay are and if you would still buy one today. Thanks ;)
