  1. Has anyone else had any problem with the presence on the HD "jumping" by itself. I noticed sometimes when using the HD500x hooked to the DT25 with the link cable (can't remember what it's called) that the HD display would change to the amp screen by itself. I finally realize the presence control shoots up to a different setting. This is without me changing anything or stomping on any buttons. This only happens when connected to th eDT25.... When this happens, I will twist the presense knob on the amp and the HD... this normally settles things down for awhile. Anybody else had this happen? Thanks
  2. I used to use the 4 pedal mode (I think that's what it is called... top four button for effects, bottom four for patch change)... however I have changed to the 8 button mode (again the name? sorry... all eight buttons are assigned to an effect)... For the lead boost, i use the EQ pedal and just give it a db boost... nothing else. I also like to use a tube screamer and then tube drive in the same line. I can go from clean (screamer off, drive off) to light crunch (screamer on, drive off) crunchier crunch (screamer off, drive on) and smooth driving lead (screamer on, drive on) ... I can then hit the EQ boost if I need extra volume. I really like this setup. I also like to have two delays, short and long in the same line.. My train is this Vetta Comp -> Throaty Wah -> Tube Screamer -> Tube Drive -> Analog Chorus -> Lux Nrm Pre Amp -> Mixer -> Short delay -> Long Delay I have the pedal set to control the volume of the amp which saves me from adding a volume pedal to the chain.
  3. Seems I remember a post where someone was doing what you want. They assigned the amp to one of the footswitches ... so when the amp is off, you are getting channel b on the amp. They used that to A/B the tones...
  4. I would like to have a quick reference to see all the settings for the patches... print screen could work, but I would have to have 4 screens for each patch... Thanks for the replys!
  5. Yes... this is really needed. they could add it to the edit program. I thought I saw a thread with this along time ago but I can't find it anywhere.
  6. Does anybody know of a way to printout the patches (including the settings) for the HD500x?
  7. Thanks everyone for the responses.... I also noted that when this happens, the display for guitar tuning is weird. About an eight of an inch in the middle of the display is slightly lower than the rest of the display.
  8. This happened with the old firmware version and the new one I just uploaded. I don't think it's patch related, but I really haven't checked that. The funny thing is it never happens at home... (no matter what patch)... it only happens at gigs or for the first time last night at practice. One gig when this happened, the only way I could get the buttons to work was to disconnect the l6 link and use a guitar cable into the DT25 effects return. I will try the knob twisting the next time and see what happens.... I know about power, but could it be power fluctuations? Thanks for the reply's!
  9. I have a HD500x and a DT25 and I absolutely love the sound, flexibility and control of the two of them. However, I sometimes have a problem with the HD500x display switching back and forth between the signal chain and the amp knob controls. Sometimes when this happens, all the foot switches stop working.... sometimes I have to press them several times and then they will work. I don't think the knobs on the DT25 are moving (which would cause the display to change) because they stay the same. I thought it might be the tubes going bad, but I just put new tubes in and got the same behavior. This only happens when using the l6 link to the DT25. I use the HD500x when I play acoustic hooked straight to the PA and have no problems. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else.... Thanks in advance for any help!
