I kind of agree. I feel bad moaning as Line 6 here usually very generous with their updates. I have to agree to an extent though. As an HXFX user there's not a lot to get excited about with this update. Would still love a global reverb, and a few other small improvements would be nice.

As Schmalle says, if it switches over just press the OD switch and it will configure back to how you had it. With my Blackstar it's - Ring 2 for OD and Tip 2 for clean.

Sorry for the late reply. No problem.

Thread I made about this a while back.

I use the Poly Capo to replace one song where I used to use a capo, it saves time and retuning etc. But for drop-tunings I still use a Digitech Drop, mainly because of the DSP usage. 1) Are you running effects in front of the pitch effect, or after it? Majority of the time, pitch effects should be before any other effects in your chain. 2) No, stick to what you're doing, if I'm understanding you correctly. 3)For single note stuff, Simple Pitch is fine. But as @rd2rk says, if you want chords and everything else, Poly Capo is your best bet.

Thank you so much @loonsailor for taking the time and finding out what was going on. At first it didn't work, but after a factory reset, it now works perfectly. Thanks again.

Messing around with it again last night, I've noticed that my Mission Enginnering EP-1 L6 set for "Heel down" starts to drift as soon as I put any weight on the pedal, even without rocking the pedal back and forth. Then I can remove my foot and the pedal position continues to drift. Really is quite irritating.

I can vouch for three amps that channel switch with the HXFX - They are Orange Rockerverb MKii and MKiii. Marshall Silver Jubilee reissue. Blackstar HT40 MKi and MKii.

Thanks for confirming this, @loonsailor

Thank for the reply. Yes, all Snapshots are named. I've got SS1 Verse - SS2 Chorus - SS3 Solo - SS4 Outro, yet whichever SS is active, will just say "Snapshot".
-
So if you're on SS1 Clean, will it say Clean, or does it say Snapshot? Because with my HXFX the active SS just says "Snapshot", and doesn't let me know which one I'm currently using until I step on another SS. Hope that makes sense.

Hi there, I love that Line 6 made Snapshots available in Stompmode, and I have been using my HX in this form for a while now. Line 6 have now made the snapshots available to be cycled through on one footswitch, which is really helpful. The problem I've been experiencing though, is that in Stomp Mode, the current snapshot being used is not named ie, clean, verse, crunch, etc. It just says - Snapshot. So it's very difficult to cycle through the snapshot on one foot switch, as you can't see which snap you're actively using. Has anyone else experienced this? And are Line 6 aware of this issue? Thanks

I agree. I’ve had the same issue with my HX Effects for a long time now. I’ve tried three different expression pedals and they all end up behaving in the same way you describe. I’m currently using an Mission Engineering pedal which is a nice pedal, but it’s still doing the same thing. I have mine set as heel 0 and it moves independently from 0 to 15 and anywhere in between. It’s a real pain at times. Hope they can address it at some point.

I used to have this issue with my HXFX. I'm running it in 4 cable method. I found using DSP bypass, with a TC Electronic Bona Fide Buffer on the input, worked best for me.

Versatility I suppose. I changed the style of music I was playing. As I'm now playing mainly in a cover band, it wasn't quite versatile enough to cover the ground I needed it too. I love the sound of them, but they very much have their own sound, if you know what I mean. Great amps, though. They look great as well. Yeah, that reverb was pretty mad. They improved the reverb on their MKiii amps.

I used to use my HX Effects to change the channels on my Rockerverb MKii and MKiii 50 watters, no problem.

Thanks mate, I'll check those out.

Expression Pedal - Auto Engage feature/bug still happening
C4TH replied to themetallikid's topic in Helix
Yeah, this is exactly what I do. But it really is starting to get annoying. After every update this happens, but then tends to go away. Very odd. -
For me, The Drop is still king. PolyCapo is great and I use it for raising keys. But for half a step or a whole step down, and saving DSP The Drop is still best.
-
Nice clean set up. What's the mic stand standing on?
-
You should be able to change the name of snapshots in HX Edit.
-
if you want to see the OD on the first page, make sure your OD is assigned to a foot switch. If you want your FX Loop on the second page, make sure its *not* assigned to a foot switch (none).
-
In stomp mode, you could have your 4 snapshots in a preset on say, switches 1-3 and 4-6. Then on say, switch 2, you could assign an HX Preset. That switch could then take you to your next preset, previous one or whatever preset you want it to take you to, and it does it a lot quicker. The only risk you take, is accidentally pressing the preset button during a gig, etc.
-
I’m assuming you have the ML5 connected up correctly to your HX. Simplest way to start is to forget about the ML5 for now. Create a preset call it “test” or something, then create two snapshots within that preset snapshot 1 (rhythm) snapshot 2 (solo). Forget about the other two snapshots for now. Then go to Command Centre. Click on Footswitch 1 then go to HX snapshot Press - snapshot 1 Release - snapshot1 then hit save Repeat this process for “solo” on footswitch 2 then hit save Once you’ve done that and have those snapshots saved in that preset, then let me know and I’ll try and help with the instants.
-
If you go to the top right hand corner of HX edit next to the tempo setting, you can select preset, snapshot or global. Leave your setting on recall. Have you programmed the ML5 loops for your pedals? I don’t use CC toggle. Instead I use Bank/Program on the instants (lightning bolts). I have mine set as - Snapshot 1 MIDI Channel 2 Bank cc00 64 Bank cc00 Off Program (ML5 loop) 1 Wait Time 0ms Hit Save Snapshot 2 MIDI Channel 2 Bank cc00 64 Bank cc00 Off Program (ML5 loop) 2 Wait Time 0ms Hit Save I doing this off memory at the moment, so I hope it makes sense. Let me know how you get on.
