  1. I am forever frustrated with HX Stomp USB MIDI. While I have no problems synching from any DAW on my Mac to HX USB MIDI, in spite of every possible idea I can find in my own experiments and on the Internet I can not get the HX Stomp to respond to CC messages on USB, sent from FCB1010. There are zero issues using FCB to HX DIN Midi, and clearly USB MIDI works for tasks sourced directly from the computer. Furthermore, I don't see CC messages bridged from USB MIDI to DIN MIDI out. Enabling MIDI PASS Through is generally problematic as I see other chained pedals double the tempo when MIDI pass through is on. I can correct the double tempo by disabling MIDI Clock TX when connected to a USB MIDI clock, which is an easy workaround, but USB MIDI CC are still not bridged to DIN MIDI out. I've spent oodles of time on MIDI routing with Apple MIDI studio and some third party MIDI utilities to narrow that down, but I haven't found a winning combination of mapping out-in-out that will get a USB CC MIDI from FCB1010 DIN MIDI to HX USB MIDI. I've given up and use DIN MIDI, but I come back to this problem when I run into various use cases. I've tried so many things over the years and hope a software fix or flash of genius will help, but luck and ingenuity are failing! Other than that, I really enjoy the HX and it's made a big impact on enjoyment of my musical hobby! I can't say the same about H9 or other multi-effect pedals, HX Stomp is well designed, sounds great and I love the regular updates.
  2. So after working with Line6 support, the solution is to set the Clock RX to USB from auto. The Jet midi pedal seems to send clock on MIDI and the HX is confused about which to listen to. For now, that's a workable solution to get my computer and drum patterns to synch up with both the HX Stomp and ElectroHarmonix 1440.
  3. Thanks rd2rk. I tried this but the clock isn't being passed. I think this could be a bug, but I don't have the knowledge to say. I'll try with Line6 support.
  4. Your sure can. I recommend looking at the Jet Pedals midi manual as they do a better job of explaining than LIne6. It’s quite easy to do from their instructions.
  5. I am using an HX Stomp with latest firmware. I have StudioOne5 and just purchased an ElectroHarmonix 1441 looper running in the effects loop of HX Stomp. I can synchronize echos and looper within the HX stomp with clock from USB midi from StudioOne with no problems. I also use a handy little midi switch from JetMicro. The Jet is using the conventional midi in and I have midi out to the EHX looper. I can set the midi clock on the EHX from the Jet tap temp with no problem. The issue I have is getting the USB midi synch from the computer, that is working fine with the HX Stomp echo, to pass clock to the EHX. I have enabled midi pass through and set RX clock to midi and USB/midi, but no combination will get the midi clock to synch both the HX Stomp and EHX 1440 looper. It doesn’t seem to be able to be done with any combination of settings I can find. That being said, I’m just a basement jammer. Any pros out there have an idea how I can get the USB midi clock to pass through the HX Stomp to the EHX looper? Many thanks! Loving the HX Stomp by the way!
  6. This solution worked one time only. Once I started a new Logic project the HX bricked again. Even when it was working the echo wasn't synching to the midi clock as it sort of dd in Ableton. Super frustrating that I have to go to Ableton to use HX Stomp. Logic is on of the top DAWs there is, this has to be a high priority bug to Line6 dev team. FYI, HX seems to work on StuidoOne but midi delay synch hasn't worked yet, though still tinkering. Ableton MIDI delay synch only seems to work when recording.
  7. I'm running MacOS 10.4.6 I have an HX Stomp with latest firmware. The HX Stomp is connected via USB only. Whenever I start Logic 10.4.8 the unit goes into Audio Bypass and asks me to Press Any Switch. As soon as I press a switch it immediately goes back into Audio Bypass. Computers suck, effects that don't work suck and waste my time. Super f'ing annoying that I have to use Ableton to get this cruddy expensive box to simply WORK and pass sound. If I set the HX Stomp to be the primary USB Audion interface it will cooperate but I have another USB interface that the HX plugs into via the gtr output. Help. Super annoying.
