  1. My HX Stomp is skipping menu values as well. pretty un-useable in real time.
  2. I had a similar issue with my Dell XPS-13. Helix Native would not load if there was an SD card active. (My other computers ()a Dell XPS-15, Alenware R2 and R3 don't seem to have this issue.) Kind of a bummer, since my the XPS-13 is my gig machine (with Native instruments installed on the SD card). I re-installed NI instruments on an external SSD, and everything is OK, except for one extra thing to connect under pressure... :(
  3. Eventually, I just said "...." and purchased: Power Generator So far (without using it) has held full charge for 3 months...
  4. I just set up the following" guitar -> Aura -> GT-1 -> (1/8" in) of iLoud (40W battery power, FRFR), with my Handsonic HPD-20 -> Aux In of the GT-1 Then I can use my backing tracks into the Bluetooth of the iLoud. Works just great. If I need vocals, I can go into the Guitar in or even the Aux In) of the Loudbox Mini... Next step is to hook up an FRFR amp like the QSC K8.2 to the DI out of the Loudbox to see how it works when I need more power.... I am ecstatic about the Aura - it is the first acoustic processor that really made a difference for nylon string (Flamenco) for me.... Next to try - The Aura at the input of my Amplify 30 for when I have AC power - A30 has great effects, and can carry in the top case of my motorcycle... :) Sheesh! I GOTTA stop tweaking and get back to scales practice!!!
  5. I just purchased a Fishman Aura Spectrum DI for use with my Cordoba Flamenco guitars (Cordoba GK Pro and Pro Negra and 55FCE) and am blown away but the improvement when using the Fishman Loudbox Mini Charge amp (and presumably all Loudbox amps). These amps had a particularly harsh sound for the piezo pickups in the Cordbobas without the Aura, and the Aura improves things enormously with practically any of the selections in the Nylon bank, but particularly the Cypress/Spruce bottom/top models. I'm almost convinced it can't get any better.) (An improvement, but not so much, in other amps) These guitars use the Fishman Pro Blend preamp/pickups (set all the way to piezo, no internal mic), so I imagine the body is not included in the electronics, since there is such a difference. In any case, I am now a BIG believer in the Aura, but would like to get IR's particularly for my models. The best solution I have found for Helix, Hx Effects is to treat the units as effects in the insert loop of the Aura - I have yet to try this with a DAW, since I am temporarily out of Helix, but the approach worked great with the Hx Effects (and GT-1, and OD-1x, and... and... and...) Guitar -> Aura -> Send -> Helix (guitar in) -> L/Out -> Aura Return -> Aura Out -> FRFR amp (or Fishman Loudbox) Of course, once you have applied the Aura, you can take the output of the Helix directly to an amp, but the Aura gives you important local control of the Aura master if you want that...). Of course, the output of the Aura (without the loop) can be fed directly to the inputs of the Helix or HxFx….) The Hauser IR from Sigma3 (for a classic guitar) may work with tweaking, but the Hauser does not have a pickup, so I doubt it will be as effective for the Piezo modeling. I can't believe the sound I'm getting now after so many years of desperate struggle....
  6. I eventually settled on the following, which fits perfectly: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073XDFKZ6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
  7. For EVERYTHING! The Amplifi 30, the M5, the HX Effects. I ordered the PS in the OP above, but also a Voodoo polarity inverter cable with 2.5" barrel. Going to try it with my Amplifi with a power brick... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DN0KBXU/?coliid=I1OPUUEB4C4LVW&colid=2ENW9WU8ZT2UL&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it If that works, I may return my M5 and spring for the HX....
  8. You might be able to do this with Voodoo Lab 2.1mm Reverse Polarity Barrel https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PPREV--voodoo-lab-2.1mm-reverse-polarity-barrel-cable-18-inch-str which has a 2.1" barrel. This inverts the polarity as welll I don't know if it will work; make sure the brick has the correct voltage and current. E.g. https://www.amazon.com/Poweradd-Pilot-23000mAh-External-Smartphones/dp/B015OAJFOC?pd_rd_wg=LWamq&pd_rd_r=014763d0-074a-4c04-a372-dff285db50ce&pd_rd_w=2JDWG&ref_=pd_gw_wish&pf_rd_r=98XYQ0ZQKZHGERD3E6SC&pf_rd_p=51143653-d574-5e14-a08c-77ccfb46e5ba I have ordered the cable to see if it will work with my Amplifi 30. If so, I may spring for the Firehawk as well
  9. I ordered it, but can always return it. It will get here tomorrow and I'll report back Update: It would have been perfect, but it was too small; sending it back. Maybe next size up... will keep looking...
  10. I found this on Amazon, and am thinking about it. It looks like it might fit... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001KVEURC/?coliid=I38EG6DVOZ8A63&colid=2ENW9WU8ZT2UL&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
  11. I'm thinking I just may use a plastic trash bag... :)
  12. Of course, my backing tracks don't loop. I simply make them 12 minutes or so. If Line 6 requires looping, then they should create a proprietary "Log In" folder in My Music, and provide us with a mechanism for looping seamlessly. (iOS doesn't allow easy seamless looping like Windows, especially for mp3. Even so, the process could be automated and invisible to the user - the tracks would then have a proprietary "Jam" format. ) Nevertheless, I STILL should be able to play tracks from My Music, for intermission, if nothing else, independently of a WiFi connectionl
  13. No, in this post I am referring only to tracks in Ableton Live when I am using the PC. (There should be a Windows editor for Amplify in that case; I shouldn't have to bring both to a gig. That said, the Ampify remote app will not let me play my own backing trcks (and stored in My Music folder in my own playback lists) without signing in, and I play many places without Wi-Fi. If I am not signed in, it stops the backing track when I bring up Amplify to edit my tone. (I have a separate thread on this). Spotify was suggested, but it won't let me play my own tracks, only tracks downloaded from their site. If I try to switch back and forth between My Music and Amplify, it stops the backing tracks when I switch back to Amplify. I shouldn't have to bring both my PC and my iPad to do both... very frustrating. Very frustrating, since Mobile Pod has no such restriction (but I can't edit tones with Amplify).
  14. Suppose I want to play back tracks from Ableton Live from a PC through the Amplifi USB port. Now suppose I want to use Helix Native instead of the effects in Amplifi. Is there any way of turning off the effects in Amplifi (other than making a "thru" patch with no amps or effects) that will allow me to use the input simply as my UCB interface. That is, is making a "thru" patch good enough for implementing the effects in VST in live? Or does the Amplifi use a parallel path to the USB (I would hope not - it should be in series) I have an Amplify 75 arriving on Friday, and am trying to save some experimentation time when it arrives; any help would be much appreciated.... (PS - I have an Amplify 30, and I really like the sounds, but it won't allow me to playback my own backing tracks that I made in ableton (stored in My Music, not in Spotify) without breaking the flow (it stops the playback). I don't see how to get Spotify to play back my own music tracks from My Music... so far... that would be a solution, except it won't list my playlists I already have set up).
  15. Why should I have to login to my account to play backing tracks IN MY OWN MUSIC LIBRAY in the AMPLIFI IOS app? I often play where there is no internet support or connection possible, and really need my backing tracks while making changes to my tones in live performance.. WTF? Update: My Amplifi 75 just walked in the door from Sweetwater at firmware 1.00. I tested it briefly, and I believe I was able to access my own tracks in My Music without logging in. I then updated the firmware to the current version, and all of a sudden it requires me to log in to use Jam Tracks from commercial vendors, and I can't access my own. If this is true, my Amplifi 75 goes back to Sweetwater (at $35 return shipping), since this is a deal breaker for me; as a Flamenco guitarist I create my own backing tracks using Ableton Live. Mobile Pod doesn't do this, WTF should Amplifi. It makes no sense whatever, and Line 6 is shooting itself in the foot. Playing Jam Tracks from commercial vendors (including Line 6) should be an option, not a requirement, as mentioned in the first reply to this thread below)
  16. I recently purchased an Amplifi 30, and am quite surprised at the quality of sound; it sounds very good indeed. However, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to carry it (unless I'm missing something.) What do you guys use for handles or a gig bag?
  17. I am absolutely stunned by the quality of the Helix interface into my DAW. There is a significant difference (to me) between all my other audio interfaces and Helix - when I first auditioned the LT some months ago, I noticed it immediately. (Note: I am a nylon string Flamenco guitarist with active pickups, so am kind of niche, but I have been through the effect wars, and together with FRFR speakers becoming more and more common, and pickups/preamps for Nylon string guitars finally coming into their own (Takamine, Cordoba/Fishman) most of my sound problems have been finally SOLVED.. after struggling for 45+ years... at least at low levels up to coffee house gigs... and Flamenco dance classes... I don't know if this makes sense, but I suggest Line 6 to produce a new audio interface to replace the Pod Studio series (not necessarily tied to Native, but with the same hardware/software interface as Helix for input parameter adjustment, and maybe even the same I/O as Helix or the LT.) I think the hardware interface is THAT good in my experience, although I admit I haven't tried any of the really high end alternatives - my reference point is the GT-001 and the Focusrite 2i2 (new drivers), with which I was more than satisfied until I auditioned the LT. I think it would enhance even the Pod Farm series (which is no slouch), but would also make the interface applicable to other modelers besides Native. I love and respect Boss, Bias, and all (well, ok, most) of the others, and this may be subjective, but Line 6 hit it out of the park with Helix/LT from my perspective.
  18. https://www.amazon.com/HD500X-Multi-effects-replacement-supply-adaptor/dp/B00GQWSYQ8 Also these guys (it was supposed to be out 2 years ago) https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/48955335/ripcord-the-plug-n-play-anywhere-usb-power-cable/posts/2049769 However, the jack is not the normal 9v jack for a pedal - my converter cable would not fit....
  19. By all means, let me know how you're coming along. 5A should power a 500HDx, along with a lot of other effects. I think if you publish a schematic and list of parts to the forum, it would be helpful to a lot of users.
  20. FWIW. I just got an Amplifi 30, and it would not update to 2.6 over Win 10, even using different computers (over my Wi-Fi LAN). So I tried the Bluetooth option, which took 45 minutes, but was ultimately successful....
  21. FWIW, I just talked to the t/s at iMuto re. the following: https://www.amazon.com/50000mAh-Portable-Generator-Rechargeable-Notebook/dp/B06XBPQKTR/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=AV9Y4QYQW6RFVV8KJHD8 He said as long as the amp is 100 watts or less, this probably should work. Dunno if it is worth it (with the ac inverter, it gets around $150 or so), but it is an all in one solution that has more than just the amp application... What do you think?
