it on the other side of my room hooked up to roland vdrums speakers and 4cm to mu peavey delta blues.Im messing with the helix more now but I turn on my firehawk and play with it but once again adjusting things from my table is a bit of a bummer I rather use a pc software.

I somewhat agree with the OP i should have waited but I bought the firehawk with the hope of some changes and upgrades.I really would like a pc editor and some new amps.Ok before people say im a hater I own the firehawk of course the pod bean I bought my son amplfi tt and a helix LT. I love the helix it the first line 6 I bought since that red pod bean that has imo great patches out the box.The pod bean really didnt but it had the pc editor but the fire hawk bluetooth tablet use is just good for quick fix but I just really would like to sit at my computer and dig into it more. With all that being said I still have all 3 and I have the fx hooked up to some monitors and 4cm to my peavey delta blues amp and its does sound good,I just wish it had a pc editor I think that would make alot of people happy. But dor now Ill be using this alot.

Im assuming its loud enough to use on its own in small midsize places?

yeah thats the weird thing the pedal was off and it still gave me a boost its not bad I just thought it was weird because it is off and when I shut the loop off it turns off that bit of boost.Thank you I will turn down the return a bit, maybe haha thanks agin.

Im using a ibanez ts7 yes ts7 got it years ago for 30.00 sounds pretty good so I deceided to put it in my effects loop but when I engage the effects loop but not the pedal I still hear a bit of a boost is that normal?

I ve had it thru my Blackstar stage 60 4cm thru roland vdrums speakers 10 inch thru a crown power amp going into crate 15 inch pa speakers and I have a mackie thump 12 waiting to pay it off so I can get another and honestly the helix sound pretty good in all of them. Some better than others but nothing that a little tweaking cant fix. Just so you know!!!! :) :P :) :D

Thank you I appreciate it

yeah if I could that would be good. Ive been messing around but still new so I figured I ask to see if anyone had any good beefy tones.

Im looking to find a nice deep clean twin sound with a good overdrive saturated but clean note mix.kind of like a evh sound but a bit more deeper.I like the twin amp I just need to find a good way to keepthat and just add a good overdrive reverb sound. I have access to 2 15 inch pa speakers and it sounds pretty good but its a bit to big to travel with.

Wow I didnt mean to start a tube war hahahah easy guys.Im into my 50's worked in the greatest iconic section of ny back in the 70's 80 Music Row 48 st at the greatest music store that has since closed down.I love my first big amp it was a fender twin with jbl speakers. It was a beast to haul around but I loved that thing and since then I plated with marshall peavey 5150 my favrite heavey amp peavey classic and blues and my last amp os a blackstar which gavem me thebest of clean and overdive I love it. I was just curious when I asked the above question because the first few minutes using the helix I was impressed by the fender type of amps and marhsll and heavey amps.If I could sell my amp easily I would but I think I will keep it because its just a great amp but I can see the ease of just grabbing the helix and a good frfr speaker and hit a small club.its a great unit

I went for the Mackie thump 12 pretty good full sound I have to play with it some more its smaller than I expected which is great fits under my desk well and it is light. zzsounds is really great, good payment options and since I live close to one of their warehouses, I got it in one day, no shipping charges.

I just posted this not to knock any product but to show how good the 20 year old pod sounds.I also agree with the above posts about amplify Ive seen videos of it sounding better than that.

HAs anyone used the mackie thump 15 or 12 inch speaker for their helix or other modeler.Im on the fence zzsounds has them cheap and great payment plans another store has the alto ts212 so im debating.http://www.zzounds.com/item--MACTHUMP15
-
Ive seen alot of good reviews for the alto ts212 and 210 and Ive heard them on youtube they do sound great and I like how its very portable I would like to male sure its loud enough for smal places that only use a PA for vocals.its alot I guess to think about.
-
Did any of you get rid of your tube amps and just use the helix with pa monitor speakrs if so do you regret it? Thinking of trading my stuff for monitors and stand not sure, and are your monitors loud enough for small mid size places?
