Im sorry,I didn't want to come off as taking it personal its just the only helix PS 170 vid out ther and if anything you can still hear imo how much it sounds like a reg amp.I bought 2 frfr speakers when i first bought the helix and now I just use the PS170 with a 212 blackstar amp.I can alswya use the frfr for vocals or electronic drum kit.Its a great unit I wish I had the equipment to showcase it but I only have my smarthphone and it wont come across to well on that. Whats cool is that you hear the helix feedback like a reg amp some people on the forums questioned if it could do that.Anyway your vid is a great vid I watched it before and it does showcase how the PS170 performs well with pedals which makes it an even better buy,I hope the helix never breaks down on anyone but if you have this a some pedals that you kept its a great back up.

One of the worst? Did you not read the title? Powerstage 170 WITH HELIX!!!!!!!! So far that is the only video that demonstrates a PS170 with a helix. If you have another please share.

I still recommend this pedal just put it in the loop anywhere in the chain, but you knew that,and it has a 3 way switch to fatten the single or make it like a humbucker.If its not what you want just ask the store if you can return it.

I use a Seymour Duncan Booster pedal in the efx loop maybe you can try the Xotic EP Boost see if that helps.IF you like to beef up your single coil then I highly recommend the Seymour.

I had the peavey and it is a great amp but I wasnt using it,and I wasnt crazy about the helix going thru it in any way.I have 2 Mackie thumps 12 and they sound good,BUT thebest thing I bought and play thru is my seymore duncan powerstage 170 and a blackstar 212 cabinet whiche I already owned.I also have a blackstar ht 60 and the helix played pretty well thru it but the SD imo is the best and probably more economical.Plenty of more affordable 212 cab that can be used with it.

If only society can get along like my helix and pedals!!!

I had alot of problems with alot of people yesterday and boy did they here about it!!!!

I love my helix but like the old saying if it aint broke dont fix it.Its sound like you have everything you want out of your equipment imo I would just find a great pedal that makes it easy to move your stuff.if you didnt get much out of you hd500and even though the helix is great and better I still would consider trying it out or making sure the place you get it has a good return policy

If some how you can go to a store and try it I would check out the Seymour Duncan Powerstage170 or 700.Im using the 170 with a blackstar 212 and I love the way it sounds also god forbid the helix goes out I can use the pedals I still own to play thru the Powerstage.Unlike an amp imo it mimics the sounds better than an amp.I tried it thru my blackstar ht60 and peavey delta blues,4cm way.I also own mackie thumps12 and it sound good thru those but i like it more thru the Duncan.

I have a blackstar ht stage 60 a peavey delta blues 2 thump 112 frfr speakers and what works for me and I am so so happy to use is the Seymour Duncan Powerstage 170 with my blackstar 212 cabinet.Everything sound great and I finally realized what people meant when they say it feels like a amp.The first time I used it it sounded and felt like a great tube amp even though its a SS unti.maybe its the headroom whatever it is,its the best thing Ive used.

I like the sound it sound like an amp it responds great now remeber eit my opinion you know people have different expectations but I have a peave 115 blues amp and also a backstar ht 60 and the duncan sound great wiht my amp sims.I use a twin sim alot and marshall and i really like it/I also have it going thru 2 mackie 112 thumps that I got before the duncan.I would have never bought them if I got the duncan first,nothng wrong with the mackie they sound great but the duncan with my 212 blackstar cab is good enough

I got the Seymour Suncan 170 I wish I goit the 700 but I only have a 212 cab but you have 2 cans so it would be better because its stereo alos bass mid treble control

If it ain't broke don't fix it!!!! You mentioned so many things you like about your hd500 and everything you use it on so I would see if you can try a helix out first. I have a pod he bean bit it was lacking a bit to me. I heard the helix on you tube videos and for me it was enough to go ahead and buy one. U love it and I played my pod once and it was imo a bug difference so I'm happy with the helix.

I think I found a good amp like solution.I bought the Seymour Duncan powerstage 170 and I have it going imto my blackstar 212 and so far I havent been using my frfr speakers as much. Its a pretty good unit sounds and I guess reacts like a tube amp and sounds great to me.I kind of wish I went this route from the begging and I could of saved some money.I have mackie thump for my frfr and I really like them but the powerstage did the trick.Actually it sounds really good when I use all of them I just wish I could crank it hahah I dont think the neighbors would like that.

OK so I got one again I think I really lucked out because I bought it on a whim and by just looking at youtube video reviews and reading some reviews.I got it from zzsounds a company I really like and who have a great payment plan.So here it is something I didint really know existed ,My fender deluxe roadhouse strat and yes it was MIM!!! I really never look at MIM stras I for some reason just always go straight to the american ones but this thinks is great.Now to try and mimic that great strat tone.
