I sure wish they would at least allow music from itunes match to be streamed, I guess I'll just have to use two apps, one for music streaming and one for controlling the amp. At this point, I love a couple of tones and just want to jam along to a tons of stuff with those tones.

Thanks for watching! To be honest, the only tone I created there was for the variax acoustic sounds and the resonators. The one I played at the very beginning was a tone match for Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson. And the cleaner one with lots of delay is actually "Ambient Delays" which is a stock tone in the amp. I didn't even spend much time at all finding these tones. I love this amp! Plus it fits perfectly on that little stand. AND... my wife is cool with it staying in the living room. I played cliffs of dover through the amp and I can tell you first hand, it was an amazing experience and I could've sat there all day with that amp and that song.

So I went to the music store today and tried out the new AMPLIFi 75 watt amp. And here is a video to show you my first impressions. Tell me your thoughts. Sorry it wasn't longer and more in depth. Filmed and edited it all on my iPhone.

You cannot expect every product to have all of the best of everything. You want a good looper, get the Boss rc-300. You want amazing guitar tones, get the HD500X. Or whatever you want really. They throw the cheap looper in there as an added bonus.

I think it is the iTunes Match problem. The only songs that work through the Amplifi app are ones that are actually on my device. Good call guys.

Hmm... Have you gone to "music library" and just played music through the app on your iPhone?

Try it for yourself. Download the app, try playing music through the app that you know you didn't purchase through iTunes. It won't stream and because it wont stream, it wont match tones.

*** Problem has been solved. If you use iTunes Match, any song you try to play through the AMPLIFi App will not play. The actually song has to be on your actual device.*** The biggest issue (not for me because I am an apple user) is that this is NOT geared for anyone who uses anything else but iOS and buys their music through iTunes (this iTunes part is a problem for me because I do not buy all my music through iTunes). With the AMPLIFi app, you can only stream music that has been purchased through iTunes. Also, this music is the only music that pulls up suggested tones to match the music. ***All devices (iOS, Android, Mac, PC, Windows Phones) will be able to stream their audio to the amp via Bluetooth (provided it has Bluetooth capability). But the amp's tone matching functions DO NOT WORK with anything else but iOS and music strictly purchased through iTunes. I am assuming that this is how the tone matching works. Line 6 must have teamed up with Apple and use the metadata in the music from iTunes to match up tones. Even music that you put into your iTunes library from CDs or if you purchased through Amazon will not be able to be streamed through the AMPLIFi app and have tone matching capabilities.*** I have found this out when I was messing with the free iPhone AMPLIFi app. Check out my video of that here.

i think it is going to be able to plug an iphone into it and it will "match" the guitar tone it hears. just a guess. it'll probably compete with the fender mustang series and the peavey vypers. Their spider line needs to go.

I could have done that, but I just don't have the time and energy like I used to for that sort of video. Also, with regards to the distortion, it's really subjective to the person.

I am almost done editing my video on the comparison between the Variax and Variax HD models. Just a side note, I did not compare EVERY model on the guitar. That would've taken forever. BUt the video should be up tomorrow! Keep your eyes peeled. I'm loving this update! Can't wait to play more with it tomorrow.
