I just got the L3t and absolutely love it. Sounds amazing! I wish the L6 link worked differently through the HD500 and the L3t. I wish the Master Volume on the HD500 did not become the slave (doesn't change volume at all) to the L3t's volume knob to control the overall volume (sorry for the poor wording). I wish that was reversed. The interesting connectivity between the HD500 and the L3t could be better. Hopefully it is just user error or if not, this will change in the future with an update. Am I correct in this being the way the HD500 works with the L3t through L6 link? I also want to be able to select L3t Speaker Modes inside of the HD500 through a menu, not just by switching the Speaker Mode in each preset and then saving into the HD500 this way. Any thoughts you guys have? The HD500 sounds incredible going into the L3t through L6, but the functionality goes out the window because you can't control the speaker from the HD500. The HD500 master volume knob shutting off is a No-No. It should be that the L3t's Master Volume Knob becomes the slave to the HD500's master volume or if nothing else, both master volumes continue to be able to change the volume, like if you just go 1/4 inch line output from the HD500 into the Line Output in the back of the L3t. Any input or thoughts would be great! Thanks guys.

L3t Vs. Dt25 - How They Compare Imho
ChristianArnold replied to pugdealer's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
I didn't know about this firmware update for the HD500 for using the L3 speakers. I'm going to go home and see if this fixes my problems I had when trying to go L6 link. I'll let you guys know if it solved my issues. Those issues being: not being able to use the HD500 master volume, not being able to switch between Electric Guitar and Acoustic Guitar Speaker Modes. -
I personally find the acoustic models amazing. Well, I find the one model to be amazing. Don't really care for the other ones too much.

L3t Vs. Dt25 - How They Compare Imho
ChristianArnold replied to pugdealer's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
I'm loving my L3t so far. So many options. I have an HD500 and JTV-69 too. This truly is the "dream rig" even more so than having the DT25 IMHO. -
haha. more pix and videos coming soon. It's hard to do videos for this speaker in my apartment. plus I want to get some more time with it to be able to make better videos with more practical knowledge of the whole system.

Has Anyone Used The Dt25 And Tech 21 Power Engine 60 With Pod Hd500
ChristianArnold replied to glenbury's topic in POD HD
You can go direct from any of the HD500 inputs into any input into the L3t (XLR. Line Level [1/4 inch guitar cable], or L6 Link). I go Line Direct from HD500 into back Line Input. -

Stage Source is the full blown mixer. Stage Scape is the line of speakers that go with it. I know. Strange right? That's how it is. I have an L3t, HD500, and a JTV-69. Amazing combo. But ultimately, you have to play all these options, or be satisfied with one, before you're happy. -
Archtop Jazz Guitar Through L2t/l3t?
ChristianArnold replied to jazzerg's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Only owning my L3t for less than a week now, I am blown away with the sound quality and the differences of the "Speaker modes." The Electric Guitar speaker mode is completely different because it emulates a 2x12 open back guitar cab. That would be great if all you play are electric guitar tones. For me though, I play a lot of acoustic through my variax. Also I am very excited to own the L3t because I can use it for an electronic guitar amp, acoustic guitar amp, electronic drum amp, keyboard amp, PA system, etc. This is why I went with the L3t over a DT series amp. It is very loud. I am very pleased with it and can't wait to play some shows with it because it's hard to crank it in my apartment. -
Good point. I also just looked in the manual and it does refer to the L3t in "tower mode," so that makes perfect sense.

Hurry Up, Already, Line 6!
ChristianArnold replied to LarryLion's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
The second I heard a little hint of the HD 2.0 update (in a 2013 NAMM youtube video) I have been dying for the update as well. I was off the forums for a long time and just came back last week. This new forum is slightly hard to get used to but I think it will be a lot better in the long run. I already enjoy the look much more. -
Yes but when you do this, the master volume of the HD500 switches off and only the master volume knob of the L3t effects the master volume. This is also very loud and not very practical for an HD500 user. I'd say leave the HD500 for the line input in the back of the speaker. The L6 links are more for linking speakers together than plugging in the HD500, although it can be done.

That would make sense. Learning more and more about PA systems. lol

I'm liking the L3t but I still need to mess with it a lot more to get to the level of comfortibiity that I'd like. Just got it on friday though, so it might take me a while. The L3m (m for moitor) makes sense! Now if we could figure out the "t" we'd be good to go.

Just got my L3t. Here is all my gear right now. (Related to guitar that is.)

L3t Use With Hd500
ChristianArnold replied to jwalker59's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Is there any way that using the L6 link with the HD500 and L3t that the HD500's master volume could control the L3t instead of the master volume on the HD500 being switched off and only the L3t's master volume controlling the volume? That seems like a big downfall so far. -
Dont worry about stealing this thread. I had similar issues with it that you had. Some patches sounded fizzy but it was because it was in combo amp output mode and not studio/pa. When I switched that it sounded awesome. we just have to keep tweaking with it and I am sure we will be really happy with it. Keep us posted here with your experience with it.

Hey guys I just wanted to share my unboxing video and discussion of the L3t. Check it out and shoot me some ideas for videos for it, because there aren't many on youtube. I'll be using it for an FRFR type of system with my James Tyler Variax and HD500, but I will also be using it for a general PA for playing coffee shops. I have some vocal effects pedals I am excited about playing through this L3t. Okay here is the video...
