  1. Just wondering if any JTV59 owner has actually replaced their entire bridge assembly with an alternative - and if so which one and how did they do it and did the replacement perform better than the original? Pictures too would be great. Thanks.
  2. I took my HD500 power supply out of the gig bag today and noticed that it had decided to split apart slightly. I attempted to squeeze both halves together but they just want to spring apart slightly. It's a few years old but has been carefully looked after, but now I am wondering if I should get another one before this one splits apart completely. I may gaffa tape it together in the short term. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it best for me to buy another official Line 6 HD500 power supply or can anyone recommend a sturdier more road worthy alternative? I am based in the UK so would welcome suggestions of what's best to buy here. Thanks in advance.
  3. Today we have a Nirvana tone and playthrough for Come as You Are. This was a lot of fun to record and while the tones aren't a spot on recreation, I feel it fits the song. Of course, all guitar and bass were recorded using the Line 6 Helix using Ownhammer impulses. The Chain: PRS Tremonti SE w/Fishman Fluence Moderns - Universal Audio Apollo Twin - Presonus Studio One 4
  4. Sorry for the delay as I have been swamped. Today we have a Nirvana tone and playthrough for Come as You Are. This was a lot of fun to record and while the tones aren't a spot on recreation, I feel it fits the song. Of course, all guitar and bass were recorded using the Line 6 Helix using Ownhammer impulses. 5. Hello all, My equipment and software: Toneport UX1 Gearbox 3.72.0 Ableton Live Lite 8 Line 6 Edition I have not been too successful with finding a metal tone that is not "buzzy". Allow me to elaborate on the tone that I'm looking for... Organic - not a thrash metal tone that rips your head off. AKA nothing buzzy, hissy, trebly. Rather, someting like this: Evergreen - Dark New Day Woofy and/or chunky. I'm referring to Skeksis by Strapping Young Lad Question - how do these guys remove the treble from their sound and still retain all the character? Anytime I crank the volume up on my own guitar and practically gives me a sinus headache. So, a tone between the guitar tones in these two songs. Chunky and organic. I have attached a really lousy tone for yins to fiddle around with. If it isn't possible to do this with Line 6 equipment (rather Gearbox), please let me know. I'll update my software, but please still post screenshots of your settings if you have any. Thank you EDIT: I think that the Treadplate simulator model would be the best choice because it emulates the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifiers. Metal%003f.l6t
