  1. When Studio One is in Low Latency Monitoring mode, parameter changes are not passed to Helix Native v1.90+ until LLM is disabled. Firstly, Helix Native is stable and functions normally in Studio One as well as any other VST3/ AU host. Studio One’s Low Latency Monitoring mode is different in that it keeps a plugin’s processing active, while Low Latency mode in other DAWs such as Logic and Pro Tools bypass plugins that incur latency above a certain threshold. This mode is only used during tracking, and while edits made to Helix Native in this state don’t take effect, Helix Native does process audio and allows tracking with low latency. If Helix Native parameter changes are desired, toggle the low latency monitoring option.
  2. Hey all. I have an HX that I’ve been happy enough with to rebuilt my pedalboard around. Recently though I noticed that in any parameter window I can only move to the right once before getting stuck there. This happens in any window, whether it’s an effect parameter, effect chooser, global preference, etc. I can go right only once and never to the left. Im pretty much stuck at this point where I can’t edit anything. I’ve reset to defaults, downgraded the firmware, upgraded the firmware. I can’t think of anything Elise to do. Is anyone else having this issue?
  3. Greetings fellow Line6 Users! Hoping someone can tell me what the parameters are on the 3 OSC Synth block? I'll start by saying I dont own a Helix, but have been closely following features and functionality since release. I'm a bassist and predominantly play electronic genres for a living - currently using the POD HD500x for all my synth-bass needs (almost exclusively for this purpose, occasionally guitar wah) and I used the M9 and M13 before it - all with great sucess! So my bread and butter is the filter section (Dual Synth-O-Matic signals as my main synth generator followed by a host of filtering - Voice Box, Throbber, Slow Filter, Q Filter etc etc). I'm just wondering what the Helix can offer along these lines, as I can only guess from scouring the manual......I have searched long and hard to find decent audio / video examples of sounds or even the edit screen with little success. Would also like to know which waveforms are available with this effect block if possible! Looking to pull the trigger on a Helix asap, as the routing options would connect all the dots as far as my setup is concerned - but this is the deciding factor for me as it's basically just use it as a synthesiser. I'll finish by saying I live in Dubai so road testing is unfortunately out of the question for me. Any help would be super appreciated!!! Thanks guys, Steve
  4. The Helix LT is awesome. Not had it long, but damn is it impressive. There's just one thing bugging me about amp emulation. Example… Fender Deluxe Reverb. On a real one (excluding the built in Vibrato and Reverb) the only pots are VOLUME, TREBLE, BASS. Note that there is no MIDDLE pot, unlike a Fender Twin. However, on the Helix Deluxe Reverb model, I have DRIVE, BASS, MIDDLE, TREBLE, PRESENCE, CH VOL, MASTER, etc. I dislike how Helix amp controls seem to be a one size fits all approach. I find it very hard to dial in the sound of my real Deluxe Reverb into a Helix emulated version. There's effectively THREE pots that control volume! There is no DRIVE channel on a real Deluxe Reverb either, yet dialing down the DRIVE to zero gets you complete silence. Then there's the EQ issue. I could be wrong about this, but I've heard that the EQ on a Fender blackface only 'removes' frequencies and doesnt add any to the sound. It certainly behaves that way. So having both TREBLE and BASS dialed up to 10 is basically your guitar's original signal, and anything less is either removing bass or treble, depending on which pot you adjust. The Helix pots do not seem to behave like this though. It seems more like 50% is the normal signal and anything more will ADD to the signal. Again, frustrating. I realize that Line 6 can't really change this way of working without screwing up everybody's existing patches, but it would be nice to have an option in the preferences (or perhaps on a per patch basis) for 'Legacy' or 'New' amp controls. 'New' of course being a more faithful to what controls are on the actual amp. Strange that they DO appear to go all out on modelling the controls of effects pedals, e.g. I noticed that the OCD effect even has the HP switch and a switch to toggle between versions of the pedal! You may ask why I need to have the amp modelled so precisely, if I have the real amp, but there's a million obvious reasons why i'd want an emulated version too, such as for playing through headphones or recording direct to Logic. Anyway, i'm mainly just sounding off, but any thoughts or advice would be appreciated!
  5. I am pretty sure it worked with 2.0... I ran the update again to test it and it still does the same thing. I wanted to use the meteor amp like this: snapshot 1 standard settings, snapshot 2 change the mid to 7 and the treble to 7, snapshot 3 same as 2 but turn on the mid boost... but no matter if I save it or not the settings stay the same in all snapshots (what ever I change them to they stay there and don't change when I switch back to the other snapshots). It will turn on and off blocks but not change parameters...  :( Help!!! I am sure it can be done after watching a couple of videos, also the one line 6 did the guy says you can change Variax models per snapshot and says to hold encoder until you see brackets but he dosen't do it in the video where you can see it...
  6. I have the rack, and controller, and I am still putting it through the courses. I haven't played any guitar through it yet, I am still getting it integrated with my studio. Its looking good so far. But I seem to be running into a brick wall on something. I am wanting to control (automate) from within my DAW (FL Studio) on my pc, some parameters insind the Helix. Specifically I am wanting to control things like Wah position, and amp gain with automation clips from on my PC. I am not able to find which midi CC this would be on in the manual. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.
  7. My question is this, Is there a deffinitave guide as to what the effects parameters for the POD DH 500X do? I know what the majority of the settings are related to, IE Feedback, Mix and so on, the ones that have me stumped are things like Spread, Offset? Looked through all of the available guides for the POD HD 500 X and the HD 500, no explanation as to how to use these setting. TIA for any help Dragon
