NOSaints79
If the Helix is configured to use snapshots, it appears that you always must have one snapshot active. For example, you can't press the active snapshot foot switch to turn it off. I was hoping to be able to turn off all snapshots and just have my default settings. Is this true, or am I missing something? Thanks! Dave
phil_m
Yes, I suppose you could say you're always in a snapshot. I'm not sure I understand, though, what you mean by "just have my default settings". I guess if you have a default setting for a preset that should be one of your snapshots. The snapshot that is active when you save your preset is the one that will come up when you load the preset.
duncann
If you don't want to use snapshots, simply ignore the fact that snapshots are part of the system and continue to use Helix just like you were before.
JonnyPM
Snapshot one would then be your default.
navyhippie
Or you can change the mode i guess. In 1 situation you're in the preset, in the other mode you're in the snapshots.
HonestOpinion
The switching options are so flexible that you can set up your footswitches to use snapshots, presets, or pedals in a variety of configurations although some additional configuration suggestions have been made in Ideascale which are also quite good. Using the global options you should be able to find something close to or exactly the way you would want to set things up with or without the use of snapshots. Digital_Igloo
Our biggest goal with snapshots was to make them completely transparent if you don't (yet) have interest in them. The only thing that you'll ever have to deal with is that little camera icon in the upper-right corner. Otherwise, completely ignore snapshots.
