Cpn_Crunch
I bumped my HD500X and a mound of dirt fell out from the foot pedal gap...WTF is this all about?...the 2011 Tsunami?
moogary
Worn rubber all ground up ????
pianoguyy
Dude, the number one creator of household dust is electronic devices. As far as the pod goes, you would be amazed at the amount of dirt things pick up from gravity. I mean, it sits on the floor and it gets stepped on. Open up your computer tower, it will have the same black dirt.
cruisinon2
Everything that lives one the floor gets dirty...and the bottom of your shoes aren't exactly operating room sterile either.
Cpn_Crunch
Thanks all...I get the typical dust issues, but this unit is brand new barely used right out of the box...it's almost like cedar dust or something.
Cpn_Crunch
I figured out how to attach the pic...this has got to be abnormal?
silverhead
Yeah - that doesn't look like normal wear&tear or dust collection. Depending on where you got it, it might not be brand new. Places like Guitar Centre are kind of notorious for repackaging used/returned items as new. Maybe someone 'bought' it for a weekend on the beach? Can you return/replace it? Are you having any operational problem with your HD500X, despite the now-removed dirt? That's what actually matters, I guess. But I would still want to replace it. joel_brown
Holy crap. Yeah that's not normal.
pianoguyy
other than voiding the warranty... i would open that thing up to see what else may have crawled up inside
Cpn_Crunch
Aside from the dirt or rubber dust it works fine...just not something you would expect to see, the place I bought it at has a great reputation, been dealing with them for over 30 years.
