Helix update

If you've installed the L6 Updater and the Helix hardware is connected, once you click "start" (or "start update", whatever it says) the process runs itself...there's really nothing to do. If nothing is happening, open a support ticket, as something may be wrong with the unit.

Sorry Guy's.... basically, I've down loaded everything from Line 6 but i've no idea how to actually apply that to the Helix? The Helix is connected but after I've downloaded stuff, I draw a blank??? What do I do next.. Thanks so much for your reply's...

Run L6 Updater and follow the prompts. Choose the latest firmware version, and hit "start". Then go make a sandwich... by the time you're done it'll be finished, and Helix will reboot. ....**backup your patches to your computer first in case something goes wrong**. That aside, there's very little to actually "do", and even less that you can genuinely screw up. The process  runs itself. It's about as simple as anything gets these days...

There is just ONE thing you have to download and install. Line 6 Updater version 1.14. Once installed run it, connect your Helix via USB cable, then follow the prompts on Line 6 Updater.

That's not quite accurate. If your Helix device is new to you or if there is an updated driver you also need to download and install the Line 6 driver. And if you want to use the computer based HX Edit program you also need to download and install that.

The simplest thing to do is download and run the HX Edit installer package. This includes installation of the latest HX Edit program as well as the compatible driver and Line 6 Updater program. Then run the Updater program to install the Helix firmware update.

This ^^^!  The easiest way to go about things is make backups and then download the latest version of the HX Edit package matched to your device and OS as Silverhead states. Then install it and let it place the proper components(Editor, driver, and Updater) on your computer. Now run the Updater. If when running the Updater and you do not see a picture of your device saying what firmware version you are on try using other USB ports. Once you are getting the picture of your device with the firmware version just click on it, select the firmware version you want to update to, follow instructions, and the Updater will walk you through the rest of the process.

Btw, make sure not to run the Editor and the Updater at the same time.
