Line 6 Spider V problems

Recommended Posts

Hi. I found some issues in my Line 6 Spider 240HC amp that probably have other discussions opened, but i decided to record them.

In the first one, the display flashes when it's turned off.

That sound happens when i turn off the amp. That happens sometimes using different IEC cables.

This problem started when i changed my IEC cable too. Sorry for the sound quality, there is a clicking sound when i activate the reverb.

I though the it could be caused by the cable, but they are universal and i guess that it could be produced by digital issues. I really like this amp but it's difficult to play a gig calmed with that kind of problems.

Is anyone having these problems?

Sorry for my english.

Hi GeraGrind, the things you are experiencing are certainly not intended functions. Do you experience these problems with the IEC cable that came with you Spider 240HC? It sounds like it may be something in the amp that needs to be fixed/replaced. I would recommend exchanging the unit at point of sale or opening a support ticket with Line 6.

Yes! The display flash. Mine does it too. When its turned off.

I've only ever seen it in my peripheral vision, never when I was looking directly at the amp.

Often thought I was seeing things or it was a reflection of something.

Perhaps it is caused by capacitors draining slowly. Don't see this as a problem, more of a curiosity.
