aeugle
Hello forum and experts, today I successfully upgraded to new version of workbench HD. Good job L6. Questions: - Can anybody post a spank patch with a good twang in position 2 and 4. Ideally correct for too low highE and B string. - Why is the default set to serial? In a standard strat it is parallel to my knowledge. Thanks Thomas
Charlie_Watt
I think that the string volume issue is one of variability of the Piezo pickups. I have worked with these things in other applications and the output is quite variable. In the application I have used them in we had to carefully calibrate every one. That means we should be adjusting the global string volumes to get them balanced. No big deal. It's easy to change them in WB.
aeugle
Understood. The string volume I easily can resolve. But I need more twang. So I chnage my question to: - I need a patch with a good twang for the spank in Position 2 and 4 (priority pos 2) - Why is the Default Position set to Serial? Isn´t it parallel for a Standard strat? aeugle
In Version 1.9 the strat models sounded better in my opinion. Ok it seems that I have to live with or roll back.
Charlie_Watt
Standard Strats are wired to put the pickups in parallel when in positions 2 and 4.
aeugle
Thanks, why is the the default in the models then serial?
guilhordas
Try changing the strat body on workbench by marsonite, there will be much more quack and volume

aaronsoots
Great patch, thanks. Been playing with the 2.10 for awhile and honestly it is really great once you get your ears use to the new sounds. Like any guitar my patches had to be modified to account for the new models. My old variax 600 sounded great and wish I still had that neck to put on my jtv69 but now that I am use to the new HD models I dont miss it near as much. I really dig the strat model now and have a custom model with the masonite too.
