  1. I am aware that the jumpiness, texture, flavor and smell of the tuner have been discussed to death and become somewhat of a joke on here. However, I still have trouble properly tuning with it on the fly. Every other tuner I use is considerably more stable and lets me tune spot on in a matter of seconds. Am I alone here? Will the tuner get some more work done eventually? I really don't wish to add a polytune to my rig as of now. Helix should be able to replace it.

  2. So today, on my phone at least, when I'm reading a thread, there's this black thingy on the right, offering Common FAQs and Basic Information. It covers up the right-hand side of the posts I'm trying to read, and can't be closed. Ugh. A little user testing maybe?

  3. I thought I was looking at my own rig when I saw your post!! Almost the same apart from the Rocktron!

  4. Though...if any "worthy" folks should chance upon this thread, please set up a poll asking if anyone actually cares about polls...I gotta know. ;)

  5. the IR's were made by Fremen many years ago. He shared them with me and I used one of them to make presets for the Atomic AmpliFire. Those initial presets became factory presets! His IR's are warm old Marshall sounding. they work with a lot of stuff. I loaded up his IR's in slots 1,2,3 and i mostly use 1. if you load one of my presets and it calls for an IR then chances are it's IR1. but try them all for a slightly different flavor. notice that i use the IR plus a cabinet or two mixed to get the best tone. i am working on separate presets for artist and studio. this first pack was more designed for getting a good studio or live tone. i included a couple artist presets just for fun. working on a pure artist preset pack now.

  6. jitter... you basically have something else on your machine interrupting the usb stream. you might try removing other usb devices... or updating the chipset drivers for your system ive found a utility like slim drivers (google it) can help find and update these unknown corners of your operating system.

  8. Between your amp and mixer you have to different paths A and B (this is why two lines goes out out amp and enters mixer) You should put evry electric guitar related fx on path A (top line) pan it hard left for example and connect left output on dedicated channel Same for path B but right pan and output As said by Hugarnico, do not put fx after mixer to avoid channel sum up This should do the job

  9. I have my Helix LT some time now and I absolutely love it, it is great! But before the LT I used the GT 100 and I liked that a lot. So I am still interested in what Boss has to offer. But I cannot find any good vids about it....all I see are those Namm vids and they are not good. For me the GT 100 was user friendly at the time. It has 2 screens which was handy as I remember. How is the screen interface in the GT 1000? I want to see a vid about that. And some good vids about tone building. How it works, how it sounds. I am just curious. I am thinking that perhaps the vids so far don’t do the thing justice. Waiting for a quality review.

  10. Consider some smaller patch sets for two separate audiences: 1) folks in cover bands wanting to accurately copy artist/song sounds (e.g. Van Halen, Another Brick in The Wall, etc), and 2) folks in original bands or studio/recording artists who focus on great amp tone (e.g. LoneStar, Matchbook, crunch, lead, clean, etc; ), then customize with their own fx based on song needs). Also nice: small single coil only collection for us strat purists.

  11. Ideas like this should be suggested on IdeaScale. Then they get voted up for consideration: https://line6.ideascale.com

  12. Here's what you do. Plug your guitar into Helix, and in your DAW, record USB 7 raw, but do NOT record Helix's USB 1/2 output. Now, make your recording (punching in is cool, too, as you are not recording any time based FX). After you are done, load up an instant of Helix Native on that track you just recorded, and load in the exact same patch. It sounds exactly the same, btw.

  13. Yes the general access to the sound cloud tones is something line 6 should improve with the next update.

  15. Hi stratolini, Please ensure you also have installed the Spider V driver: Spider V Driver After you have installed the Spider V Driver. Make sure to select the USB output going out to your computer. Then run the Line 6 updater. After signing in, you should then see your Line 6 device appear; displaying the installed firmware build. After selecting your device, you will be directed to a list of all available firmware updates. Select the most current update available; the Line 6 updater will then guide you on the update process. Please let us know if you have any further needs. Thanks!
