    Line6 JM4 2.07 firmware Update

Follow this link: https://line6.com/software/index.html In the middle drop down menu labeled 'All Software'; select Line 6 Monkey. After this has downloaded to your computer you can connect your device via USB and run the update, or if you have the firmware file on your computer, select 'update from file'.

    M5 expression pedal for tempo

With the M-series, any parameter can be controlled with an expression pedal. To achieve this, I recommend setting the Mod to 'Rate' opposed to note-subdivision (ex: 1/4, 1/8). You can easily set the rate of the modulation to the expression pedal with a specific minimum and maximum range.

    Multi color on one footswitch

Hi kenwilcoxguitar, Very interesting, I'd like to ask a couple questions to get a better understanding of the situation. HELIX floor unit? Is this dual colored ring only on a particular foot switch or on any footswitch with a distortion block? Which firmware are you currently running, and did you perform a factory reset after last installing firmware? Thanks!
  5. Hi Nmcasale, For time based effects such as Delay and Modulation, the 'Rate' or 'Time' of the effect can be switched from Milliseconds to note subdivision by pressing down on the knob controlling the effects time, which is Knob 1. Keep in mind that the tap tempo does not effect timing on effects set to Milliseconds, only note subdivision. When you tap (not press) the Tap Tempo to bring up the tempo parameters you have the option to set the tempo to be globally (which will set the tempo for every preset), per snapshot, or per preset. When set to per preset you can have different BPM's set for each preset. This option is what you want to use when using multiple presets in your band that have variable BPM's. In addition, If everything you need only takes up one preset, you can set up snapshots within the same preset which you can edit to have which ever effects on/off, parameter and BPM changes all within the same preset, think of it as having presets within a preset. I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any further questions!

Using Spider V 30 in Pro Tools Express

Hi Supersonic_104, Are you connected directly to your computers USB inputs? Also ensure the USB select switch is switched over to the right to active the USB-B output labeled "Mac/PC Android". Let us know your results and how you're connected so we can get you rockin! Thanks!
  7. With the M9 you can use/combine up to 3 effects at once. The 6 foot switches gives you 6 effects to choose from with the ability to run 3 at the same time. You can also plug in up to 2 expression pedals and control effect parameters. Whether its a wah wah or controlling the 'Drive' of a Tube Screamer.

M9 No sound when fx are off.

I recommend performing a factory reset. To do so: Press FX Unit 1B and 2B switches at the same time to enter the setup menu. Press the Model Select knob until the display reads MIDI Gate Display across the top. Turn the Model Select knob until the corresponding display shows RST FACT. Press and hold the TAP button just before (split second) pressing the Model Select knob. Its like pressing them down at the same time, but making sure the TAP button is pressed first. Do that once again to reset the M9.
  9. Hi Jeremystern, We have several processors with a Varaix input where you can change presets with different guitars and/or tunings. Such as: HELIX Family, POD HD, Firehawk FX, Firehawk 1500, and Vetta II.

Question about fx100 and Amplifi75 compatibility

Hi Natalshadown, Both products are the exact same; FX100 is Amplifi in a pedalboard format whereas Amplifi 75/150 is a Combo Amp format. If you would like to control your Amplifi remotely opposed to the Amplifi remote App, you can choose from one of our controllers, such as: FBV Express, FBV Shortboard, or FBV3. Depending on the type of control you want. FBV Express will give you Presets A-D (you have to manually switch banks) as well as vol/expression control. The FBV Shortboard and FBV3 (FBV3 is the latest update to our FBV controllers) will give you the control over Bank selection, presets, and the ability to bypass effects as well as Vol/Expression control. If you have any more questions feel free to ask anytime! Thanks!

    Line 6 Amplifi Recording Live

Hi Satsamel, I recommend recording via USB. If you were to record from any output jack like the headphone jack or a hypothetical dedicated output jack would yield the same results as recording via USB, only difference is that USB offers a higher quality of recording. Depending on your recording set up, to capture that 'live' essence I recommend throwing up some room mics, if you don't have enough bleed from drum mics or any other instruments.

    No Fist to Save Favorites

Hi FleetwoodPC, To favorite a tone with a song: Select the Music Tab > Play My Music > Select song. After the tone match process brings up tones, press the 'Favorite Button' which looks like a Tab with a Heart on the left of the tones name. This will ensure that the favorited tone is loaded automatically when jamming with music. These tones will also be saved into the favorites folder. http://line6.com/data/6/0a020a3e255e5834d491a40ed/application/pdf/AMPLIFi%20Remote%20Pilot's%20Guide%20-%20English%20.pdf
  13. Hi gtrman100, Have you tried signing out then back into the app? If this doesn't work, try reinstalling the app.

    Save to Favorites on 2.50.01

Hi Stratoholic1! Favoriting a preset happens when making a Tone Match within the Music Tab. This feature was designed so that you can choose which tone defaults to the song you're playing with in addition to being added to your Favorites folder. As for your Kindle only accepting 2.50, it may be the possibility that 2.50 is best suited opposed to 2.60 for your Kindle's operations system.

    Wah Tracking

Hi Stratoholic1! When using a Line 6 controller all actions will happen in real time. As for the latency you experienced with your smart device. Depending on the processing power of your smart device, you may experience a slight latency with some actions over Bluetooth.
