  1. And we can never say it enough, right? LOL I liked the original POD. When I first tried the 2nd gen POD, it sounded horrible. I wondered how Line 6 could have lost the recipe so badly. Then I remembered I had dialed back drive to about 60% on the original POD because I use thick strings and a thumbpick. Dialing back drive on the 2nd gen one made it sound wonderful :)

  2. I was able to do a little experimenting last night and I think I found what was happening. I had snapshots edit set to recall in global settings. When I went from stomp mode to snapshots mode some of the blocks were still enabled that were not supposed to be in a certain snapshot. Then I changed to another snapshot and it functioned as expected. When I went back to the previous snapshot it recalled those new blocks that were enabled. So in essence the first snapshot saved the changes from stomp mode. I wish it was possible to automatically recall a snapshot when switching from stomp mode to snapshot mode but that does not seem to be the case. Using discard snapshot edits seems to be a decent workaround, though I prefer snapshot recall. Thanks for that insight Schmalle, you were right. And thanks for taking the time to chime in, codamedia.

  3. That's not how it works.... going back to snapshot mode simply gives you the options to choose a snapshot, it doesn't automatically load one. That is the behavior you will get if you set the stomp(s) in question to ignore snapshots. When you set "snapshot bypass" to OFF, the stomps on/off state maintains separation from snapshots. Page 47 of the V3 manual explains "Snapshot Bypass".

  6. Study the cheat sheet, it contains condensed "need to know" information: https://line6.com/support/manuals/helixlt This article is a must read IMHO, understanding this will probably save you a lot of pain: https://blog.line6.com/2023/09/15/eric-klein-at-least-half-of-your-modelers-sound-is-determined-by-your-playback-system/ There are many blog entries that are interesting: https://blog.line6.com/ Lot's of stuff to find on Line 6's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@line6movies Have fun!

  7. Since no one at Line 6 is "calling the code" on Variax, I will. The Line 6 Variax guitar is officially dead.

  8. Hi, Anyone else having a problem with Monkey not connecting to the Line 6 server? Started happening about a week ago. I have to download updates directly from website in interim and upload manually which is a drag. No problem with my internet connection and can log into my Line 6 account via Monkey but it's saying it can't connect to the server to check for updates?? Chris
