Year of production not sure, but model player's deluxe, alder, sunburst, maple, and pick ups stocks (i think vintage).But the deal is i don't remember if the push-pull was engaged and get the sound..

ok, i use only the pod for some fx , specifically the heavy acoustic fx and the acoustic pad (both presets from hd), and no post processing.So yes, there is a bit of compressor out there, but not so much. tomorrow i will reveal the results.

As from my experience, the strat I played were very similar to the 1.9 and moderately similar to the 2.0. Also the 1.9 had better sound. But honestly, nothing compares to the 700's Variax with g.teck installed.

I would give a 4/5 to my jtv. The pros no need to mention, we all know about.. The cons: the lag when switching pickups, and the mag pickups... I wish these 2 were absent. (meaning that if these were absent, I would go for the 89f as design or the 59.God I hate the pick guard without mags)

To be honest i don't know.After installing the Gtech, the output increased too much, that i had to reduce the pickups from the workbench and i decrease my picking strength.I didn't push it so hard again, so i can not tell you...In about 1 month that I will be home, I will try it and inform you (if not someone else tell u up to that time)

I have the G tech instaled in the 700.It is really worthy.Instalation is a bit difficult...you will mostly need soldering machine, iron solder, and a good paper knife for begining...If you will need more instructions, let me know.

You can buy the chip by yourself, and even buy a better one than from the pod500x. BUT you must also find and install the firmware to stop limiting the pod's CPU..

Some common parameters to use, is from the beginning : 1) install via monkey the line6 drivers. 2) setup the sound device of the computer to be your pod (from the control panel, sound and devices) 3)after opening the program that you will use, go to it's properties (or preferences) and choose again the HD as a sound card, or as Ins and Outs 4) select the desirable channel, turn rec on and start playing. 5) after doing all the above and stop recording, try to play back, to make sure everything is working.
