    Yeah, I know the feeling...Flextone 3 XL, Variax 700, pocket pod, UX2, jtv 69s, pod HD 500, and before (the only line 6 staff I sold) Pod XTL.Looking to get a 59 and a DT50.

    Welcome.As for position 4, as you said depends on the middle pup, mine is the red velvet (i bought it blindly) and it's the first time I don't like it as configuration (3 or 4 position) but goes perfectly to the position 2.I had to reduce the height of the pup and increase the red and blue velvet to match the volume, though. Anyway, it is true that mark knopfler used the FS1 on the neck position, and that is the main reason I bought it :) http://www.mk-guitar.com/blog/2008/12/10 I am waiting for your decision :)

    Correct everything you read about FS1. In the next 24 hours you will have your recording :) About the Kinman, honestly no, I first time heard about it.

    Just today I installed the FS 1 on neck, red velvet on middle and blue velvet (bridge) on bridge.Very knopfler style :) If you want I can record something and sent you.

    First of all, you need to download the line6 monkey.Connect the hub to the guitar and then to the computer.Run monkey and it will check what version is your guitar. Regarding your questions:you can go back by rolling back on the monkey, at any version you want.So yes, go ahead and do it, it is very easy, and if something goes wrong you have full community to back you up.

    No! It doesn't matter how you will connect, you can run 1 guitar at a time, or in 1 unit 2 gutars ( a modeled and the magnets)

    SDS 1 is a good option with nice output, and I would recommend the FS 1.Those are the one I am using currently :)

    With a Dimarzio DP184 (the chopper) and a Virtual Solo DP420... I believe your problem will be solved...The chopper will keep the desired strat sound, but the V-solo is a bit different....Try to put on the middle.

    Sounds like cracking sound...I have the Variax 700 replace the piezos with the 8000 something graphteck...I really don't know how to fix this one, but I want it to work, since I love my 700 more than my JTV .
