You need to have the PocketPod connected to USB on your computer Does the PocketPod show up in your Windows Device Manager under Sound devices? In Cakewalk, press P for Preferences and it should be listed under Devices - Input and Output drivers. Also check Driver Settings and it should be selected as the Playback and Record Timing Masters. Playback and Recording should have ASIO set as the Driver mode. You might have to set the Driver mode first.

If you've tried different cords, then I think you may need to have it serviced. Contact Line 6 Technical support.

Plug your guitar cord into the PODXTLive input jack (unless you have a Variax, in which you would plug that into the Variax jack). Then plug another guitar cord into the L/Mono output of the PODXT and the other end of that cord to the Input of the Flextone. The Flextone's Pilot Handbook has all the information you need to do this and more, like how to set the volume, etc.

Need more info... WIndows or Apple? What version of Windows? I don't have a UX1, but looking at the manual, a few questions come up: Do you have it plugged into your computer or a USB hub? It won't work on a hub, Do you have an iLok version? Are you running in standalone mode? Did you register your Power Pack?

Have you tried running the Line6 License Manager? Make sure your equipment is registered and authorized. Make sure you are connecting the PODXTLive to a USB port on the computer and not on a USB hub. Make sure you're using a USB 2.0 port. It won't work with a USB 1.1 port or USB 1.1 cable. You should see the Line 6 PODxt Live listed in the Windows Device Manager. (Right click start button and select Device Manager)

OK. Uninstall ASIO4ALL.Then use the 4i4 with its ASIO driver. The 4i4 has a headphone output so you don't even need to use an amp. The 4i4 claims zero latency.

What do you have the buffer size on the 4i4's ASIO driver set to? Should be at most 256 samples if you have a slow computer, 128, 64 or 32 samples if you have a faster PC. What are your PCs specs? How much RAM? You need a fairly powerful computer to do audio. From the Focusrite 4i4 manual: Using Direct Monitoring You will probably have heard the term “latency” used in connection with digital audio systems. In the case of the simple DAW recording application described above, latency is the time it takes for your input signals to pass through your computer and audio software, and back to you. While not an issue for most simple recording situations, under some circumstances, latency can be a problem for a performer who wishes to record while monitoring their input signals. This might be the case if you need to increase the size of your DAW’s recording buffer, which could be necessary when you record overdubs on a particularly large project using many DAW tracks, software instruments and FX plugins. Common symptoms of a buffer setting that is too low could be glitching audio (clicks and pops), or a particularly high CPU load within your DAW (most DAWs have CPU readouts). If you experience this on a Mac, you can raise the buffer size from the DAW application itself but on a Windows PC you will most likely need to change this from the ASIO Control Panel which can usually be accessed from your DAW Setup Preferences*. The Scarlett 4i4, in conjunction with Focusrite Control, allows “zero latency monitoring”, which overcomes this problem. By using Focusrite Control to monitor your input signals, you will hear yourself in real time along with the computer playback, even with very high buffer sizes. The input signals to the computer are not affected in any way by this setting. However, note that the effect of any plug-ins instantiated in the DAW will not be heard whilst recording because by monitoring in this way you are hearing the signal before it reaches the software. Also, remember to mute the channel you are recording to in your DAW otherwise you will hear both the signal you are monitoring and then the echo effect of the signal coming back from the DAW

Use the Focusrite as your audio interface. The PODXTLive is not great as an audio interface. Just run the left and right outputs of the POD to Inputs 1 and 2 on the Focusrite. Use the ASIO driver that comes with the Focusrite. Don't use ASIO4ALL at all. That should get you going with much lower latency.

Go to line6.com, downloads and select Line6 Edit under All Software and Windows 7 for the OS. This version will work on Windows10. Here's a link: Line 6 Edit Software

There are many, but if you're looking for something easy and cheap, try Audacity. https://www.audacityteam.org/ After you get the hang of it, a more fully functional studio recording package is Cakewalk by Bandlab. No reason I can think of. Going that way you are bypassing the amp's preamp circuitry, but the PodXTLive has it's own preamp. I think you should put the Level switch on Line instead of amp.

Try using Line6 Edit or Gearbox to restore any backups you have made. Otherwise, try Line6 Monkey Backup and Restore or flash the memory.

The dot you are pointing to in the picture lights up to tell you that your USB port is connected to an active USB device. The other dot between the 1st and 2nd digit lights of if you have a Variax connected.

OK, so then you need to connect the MIDI OUT of the Casio, to the MIDI IN of the PodXT. The PodXT's MIDI OUT/THRU jack should be connected to your computer's MIDI interface's IN jack. The PodXT's USB port should be connected to one of your computer's USB ports, however, use a USB port on the computer, not a USB hub. As Also, the PodXT is not that great as an audio interface (high latency delay) so I would recommend you use a separate audio interface. Let me know if that helps.

Did you go to the MIDI settings option and change it from Out to Thru? Then plug your Casio's MIDI OUT to the PODXT MIDI IN jack and the MIDI OUT/THRU to your computer's MIDI IN. What MIDI interface are you using on your computer? What is your computer's OS: Windows or Mac and what version. I only know Windows. Some older USB to MIDI adapters may no longer work on newer versions of Windows. Check the Windows Device Manager to see if the MIDI port is listed under Sound, Video and Game Controllers.

Sounds to me like your TAP button may be worn out. Does it feel like all the other buttons when you press it with your fingers? If you use it to tap a Delay effect, does it work?

I have a Windows 10 64-bit desktop and I am able to run Line6 edit and Gearbox.

This is how I would set it up: Guitar -> Orange Input . Orange Send -> HD500 Guitar Input HD500 Mono Output->Orange Return From HD500 manual: If you are using high gain or active pickups you may want to set the Guitar In switch on the top of your POD HD500 to PAD. There's really no rule, use what sounds best. You also might want to try setting the Fx Loop Level switch to Line or Stomp whichever works better. I don't have this equipment, but this is how I would set it up if I did. Hope you figure it out.

You may want to try a few things: Swap your cables and see if that helps. (I recommend not using homemade cables.) Check your settings, especially the AIR switch. Try moving all of the knobs and sliders. Work them a little bit. Over time they can get oxidized and that can cause problems. Good luck.
