POD xt live: Invalid Error Code 2
daveny5 replied to Mikkymillion's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Did you try restarting it with everything disconnected except the power cord? If that doesn't fix it, then: According to Line6: PODxt Family Error Codes If you are experiencing the following error codes in the display of your PODxt device: Invalid Error Code 01 Invalid Error Code 02 Invalid Error Code 03 Invalid Error Code 04 Invalid Error Code 05 Invalid Error Code 06 please try the following: Try the Edit Buffer Initialization with the following steps: 1. Turn off the POD 2. Turn on the POD while holding down the Save and Edit buttons simultaneously 3. The POD's LCD screen should display Init Edit Buffer 4. Push the Output mode button 5. Turn the Select / Select Page knob one click to the right 6. Turn the Effect Tweak / Change Value knob to the left or right adjusting the contrast. If that does not help, please try re-installing the flash memory on the PODxt device using the instructions in the following link: Pod xt Series: Factory Reset, Reflash, and Firmware Updates If this does not solve the issue for you please locate your local Service Center for repair. -
Help only half my xt live buttons work
daveny5 replied to roughdymond's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
How old is the unit and how much has it been used? Try the attached link. If that doesn't work, you may need a repair. Also, unplug all connections except the power plug and power it on. Do you get any error messages? -
The delay is called latency and it's the time it takes your soundcard to process the signal. However, it should be barely noticeable depending on the quality of the soundcard and the speed of your computer. Need more info: Is the audio out from your POD plugged into the Line In on your soundcard? What kind of computer (desktop or laptop/notebook)? What is the sound device listed in Windows Device Manager? What device do you have set as the default playback device in WIndows? Go into the Windows Control Panel and look for your soundcard. Check those settings. Ideally, you want an audio interface (soundcard) that will let you select ASIO mode. That will give you the lowest latency.

Factory Reset Pod XT Live
daveny5 replied to beliefbeyond's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
You may have done all of this, but here's my suggestions anyway: Are you using the PX-2 power supply that came with the unit? I don't know what the electrical power is in Finland, but mine says 120v / 60Hz. Most European countries use 220v / 50 Hz. Should I assume you had this unit working at one time? Go to Windows Device Manager and see if the Line 6 PODxt Live is listed under Sound, Video and Games. That will tell you if you have the driver installed. If so, right-click it and select Update Driver and have it search for the latest driver. If you don't see it, unplug the PODxtLive's USB cable. Download the right driver from Line 6 and run it, but don't plug in the USB cable until it tells you to. If that works, then run Monkey and try to flash the firmware. Good luck, Dave -

Did you try all the reset methods I listed? How are you connecting to your XT Live? MIDI cables or USB cable? -
USB problems that cause dirty sounds
daveny5 replied to ades86's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
How long is your MIDI cable? MIDI cables longer than 20 ft need to be of a higher quality than just a standard MIDI cable. You may also need to adjust the buffer settings in the ASIO control panel. If you have it too small, it won't be able to keep up you'll get strange noises. 256 samples is a good place to start. Make sure you're using the ASIO drive and not MME or WDM. -

Don't use a USB to MIDI cable. I believe you need a standard USB cable (USB A to USB B) to flash the memory and update the firmware. You probably have one from some other device you have, but if not, here's a link to one. A MIDI cable only carries MIDI data. The USB cable carries computer and MIDI data. I think that will resolve your problem. This is the cable you need: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-USB-2-0-Cable-Male/dp/B00BCWALHM/ref=asc_df_B00BCWALHM/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167126093426&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12211662058692348175&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9010123&hvtargid=pla-83922868406&psc=1 -

Factory Reset Pod XT Live

Are you getting any kind of error message when you try to connect your PodXT? Did you login to Line6 Monkey before trying to install the drivers? You can actually install the drivers from the website. You don't need to go through Monkey. Is the PodXT listed in the Windows Device Manager? If so, right-click that and select Update Driver. If it's not listed, is there an error message? Did you write Line6 support? This forum is USER supported. You could contact a technician with your problem. https://line6.com/support/tickets/ -

Push the Output mode button 5. Turn the Select / Select Page knob one click to the right 6. Turn the Effect Tweak / Change Value knob to the left or right adjusting the contrast. Another options is: Q: How do I reflash in "safe mode"? A: Safe mode can be used when a unit cannot be reflashed using the normal reflash procedure. Hold the first of the four black soft buttons under the main LCD screen as you power on the PODxt. Then re-install the flash memory usinf Line6 Monkey. Make sure you're using a USB 2.0 port. It won't work with a USB 1.1 port. Dave www.daveshomestudio.com -
Wah range pod xtlive
daveny5 replied to Michalkali's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Q: How do I calibrate the pedal on my PODxt Live? A: 1. Make sure there is nothing connected to your PODxt live aside from the power cable. 2. Power up the PODxt Live while holding down the Bank Up pedal 3. Press the Amp pedal (this will reset the current settings) 4. Move the pedal all the way to the heel back position, then all the way forward until the toe switch clicks. You will want to stand up and shift all of your weight to the toe position until you see the WAH light turn on. 5. Wait 10 seconds, then power the PODxt Live off and back on again. 6. Your pedal is now calibrated. If you don't want the full range, don't move it all the way back or forward. Look at the MAPPED field for the value between 0 and 127. Dave www.daveshomestudio.com -

Does Monkey confirm that you are connected? Are you also signed in? Make sure your USB is not plugged into a USB hub. It should be plugged into a USB port on the computer. -
Did you save your settings? Each patch has it's own settings.

Controlling Output Gain on Pocket Pod
daveny5 replied to daveparks6842's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Use the Direct Out from the Pocket Pod. The Amp Out should go to your guitar amp. From the Pocket Pod reference manual: Amp Out – This is a mono 1/4-inch output that is perfect for connecting your Pocket POD to a guitar amp which has a pre-amp. Direct Output/Phones – This is a stereo 1/8-inch output for headphones, a P.A. or recording device. You may need to get a 1/4" to 1/8" phone adapter plug like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Hosa-GMP113-Inch-Female-Adaptor/dp/B000068O47/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1534817042&sr=8-18&keywords=phone+to+mini-phone+adapter Dave http://www.daveshomestudio.com -

POD XT LIVE 1st Gen 14D phase-o-matic
daveny5 replied to volusia1's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
You should be able to do that using the GearBox application from Line6. Unfortunately Line6 stopped supporting GearBox, but you can still get it here: https://line6.com/software/index.html. The newest version available was for Windows7, but it should work with Windows10 also. -

Does your amp have an aux input or inserts? Those usually bypass the amp controls except the master volume. -
PODXT live power supply
daveny5 replied to mmackoi30's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
I think you will need a converter to change the input voltage from 220v to 120v. The manual says "Connect only to AC power outlets rated 100-120v or 230v, 47-63 Hz (depending on the power range of the included power supply)." Your power supply says 120v AC. Not sure what you're showing in the 3rd picture. You should check with Line6 Technical Support otherwise you could severely damage your PODXT. -
Bass pod xt recording problems
daveny5 replied to swazer16's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Look at the left side of the track in Audacity. Is the L to R slider set to the middle? That would explain the difference in the left to right volume. Also, move the - to + slider all the way to the right to maximize the signal recorded. -
I'm the sound tech for a band. My band's guitarist is trying to send a signal from the Firehawk to his Boss amp/Marshall speaker combination and we want to send a line output to the band's mixing board. We've tried every possible combination, but it won't work. If we set it for Amp, it sends a signal to the amp OK, but no signal to the PA using the Line Outs. If we set it to Line mode, the signal to the amp is noisy and the signal to the PA is weak. How can we make this combination work? Thanks. Update: I have a PodXTLive. If I send the Left output to the PA and the Right output to my guitar amp, it works perfectly as I would have expected. Do we have a malfunctioning Firehawk???
