You make a very good point. Nice chops and very cool tone!

Wow, after hearing those demos (thank you!) Ive decided just to stick with my Axe FX for the time being. Im keeping an open mind though just in case I hear other Helix stuff in the future that I like.
-
I would be using it with a CLR FRFR speaker.

We didn't stop until blind A/B tests could fool our own employees.

Im also another interested party that wont pre order / purchase until I hear a LARGE selection of clean/dirty/FX tones. If it rivals my Axe FX 2 I will get it. -

It surprises me that anyone can make any judgements on a system we have barely heard. The sounds are the most important thing to me and from the 2 videos Ive heard no way can I get a good idea of the sonic capabilities of the Helix.

Dont waste your time. Merely the rant of a very foolish person. Rather pathetic...
-
Looking forward to HEARING the wide range of sounds this unit has to offer. Only then would I consider pre ordering

Im very interested in this device but would NEVER pre order it without hearing what it sounds like. Yes I know return policies make things easier, but it still costs $ to ship things back to vender.

Where Is The Dream Rig...
lasvideo replied to Tboneous's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Ya know, I bet it could. Considering how many other wonderful profiles are available in this device. And while Im at it, I'll profile some intelligence for you...it seems you are lacking in that department. I mean what else would explain your pathetic attempts at humor . (Oh yeah. And lollipope?... ha ha ha ha ha). -

Gee, I thought this was the "James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD" forum. Oh wait. IT IS! And I just happen to own a JTV-59 James Tyler Variax guitar. WOW! So it seems I AM in the right forum. Imagine that. ;) (And please dont disparage this forum and participants by calling it "slumming". I still think highly of Line 6 products, even though Ive chosen to move on from the Pod HD 500.). -

If that is the case I suggest you go tend those goats of yours. I think they are pooping on your Line 6 hardware :P -

My new dream rig is a Kemper rack with a QSC R10 FRFR speaker ;) -
Dream rig or Amplifi
lasvideo replied to Woodstack's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
I had an HD 500 going thru a QSC K12 FRFR speaker. It was able to accurately represent all the wonderful tones in the HD 500. I still use the speaker with my new Kemper. HD 500 & FRFR speaker sounds like a good consideration for your situation -
Not happy with JTV-59 Variax Strat modeling

Im glad my dissatisfaction with the Variaxs version of the Strat motivated me to get the real thing. The clarity and spank is just what I had hoped for. -

And some guitarist must be tone deaf. I sit here with both guitars and anyone with good hearing can hear the difference. Come on over and take a listen :) -

I must admit when I bought the Variax I had what turned out to be unrealistic expectations for the Strat tones. I stiil love the rest of what the Variax has to offer and will give it as much use and attention as my Jackson Soloist and Strat. Its only thru use and exploring over time that I realized it wasnt going to get me to where I wanted to be with the Strat. But as I said, I still feel the rest of the models are quite strong .
