Steve Morse. I have no favorite guitarist. But I have levels of favorites and Steve is at the top. Some equal, none better. Reminds of a story he told about when he was attending the University of Miami. He learned how to drive with his knees so he could continue to practice while driving to and from school. One thing that took me over a decade to figure out is you don't really ever see the results of all of your practicing until the next day. I wish someone would have told me that when I first started out. dickbanks touched on this a couple of posts back.

I'm sorry for hurting you so much. I'll try to be more gentle next time.

I would say "we all" is a bit strong...........A big bit.

Be careful guys. There was a time when Line 6 would give you no heads up as to the status of an upgrade until it was ready because of all the bad comments they got when they were late. DI has been very good at keeping us informed and if you like that to continue, be patient and just let it come out. If you get too cantankerous, we may lose our updates on how it's going again. It hasn't gotten really bad, but the last time there was an upgrade update blackout, this is how it started. Just sayin'.

The rumored Pac Man bootup. Tried to post a picture no luck. Try this link. ;) http://www.stagecue.com/helix/pacman.jpg Check out this post from DI. http://line6.com/support/topic/20614-funny-you-can-still-hardly-find-a-helix-in-stock-online/?hl=pac+man&do=findComment&comment=156187

I have had this phenomenon happen with another parameter (Variax model I think) and the only solution I found was to create another new patch. But sounds like you've already done that. Just wanted you to know you aren't crazy. I've had something like that happen to me.

Oh Yeah! Still can make the monkey dance. See how easy it is honey? I'll bet it dances some more!
-
Oh my goodness honey. I was wrong. This is no monkey. It's a crybaby. Notice the self portrait. It only acts like a monkey. Dance monkey dance.
-
See honey, I knew I could make the monkey dance. Listen to how it characterizes being entertained by it as a form of popping a blood vessel. Just more cage rattling. Let's see how much more it'll repeat it's same rant about the patches. Dance monkey dance.
-
I personally am holding no bag. It's fun to watch how easily this monkey can be made to dance.
-
See how easy it is to get a monkey to dance. No no no, don't worry honey, he can't really bite you. He'll bang around his cage and make a little bit of noise. But that's the fun of watching a monkey. Let's see if someone can get him to dance some more.
-
Good point. I think I'll bail on checking this thread out when the new update occurs. Until then, maybe the monkey will dance one more time.

I'm not sure it it would make a difference but I'm on Firmware 2.12

BIG THANKS to Line 6 for using text for the .hlx format

Oooooooo. I like those options. Not sure I have the courage to do this since I am, at best, very limited in my code writing. But good luck to you guys. -

I'm just curious, what are the advantages of manipulating patches this way? -
See honey I knew he'd dance again. Dance monkey dance. He can't help himself. He's a monkey.

Yeah.I was hoping for a quick fix. And also wondering if this was a common occurrence. It is the end of the month so I'm expecting the update any day now. I think I'll wait until then. Thanks.

One thing that's happening to me. The Variax setting don't translate and I know this is due to a flaw that is supposed to be corrected in the next update. So watching your video, I eneterd all of the Variax settings. Snapshot 1 is fine but snapshot 2, even though it says in Helix edit and on my guitar the tone is set to 10, it sounds like it's on snapshot 1's setting. I know the tone isn't on 10 since when I move it down and back up to 10 it brightens up. Does anyone know if this is due to the Variax settings transfer protocol that doesn't work? It's very frustrating. I have tried everything and no matter what I do, snapshot 2's Variax tone is definitely lower than where it was saved and where all of the setting say it is. The same is true with snapshot 4.

Whoops double post see next post

Look at the monkey dance honey. Be careful. Don't feed him any bacon. I wonder if he'll dance some more for us.
-
The patches were created with the XLR'S set to mic level. I believe I mention that in the original post.

I don't know why you can't. If I have ten things to assign to snapshots from one block like the 10 band EQ, I have to push a knob a lot more than once. Pushing a knob once isn't a big deal. That's what I would like to do. Now I have to push it a lot more than once. If you don't get why clicking/pushing once instead of 20 times (since you have to select and then assign each band, at a minimum) would not be desirable, I don't know what else to tell you. But whatever. I guess I don't really care if you don't see why it's a problem. I do and so do others. If it's not a problem for you great. And just as a point of reference, I'm using the Helix editor program and not programming from the unit. That's why I originally used the word click instead of push. My apologies for any confusion.

I gave it a plus vote.
