  1. My last word (or tiny JPEG..don't think my posting privileges have ripened yet)...
  2. and believe me, it can get weirder if you feed this guy's obsession. (see post #6)
  3. Commercial IR makers never give their best stuff away for free, IME. Some of the newest stuff by Valhallir, Cab-EU and Ownhammer have upped the cab-shooting ante to my ears. I wish there was room for some more 3rd party IRs in Helix memory.. but, @Erniedenov, you can make any thing you plug into sound awesome, so you're ahead of the game. :P
  4. Thibault is da man.......Fremen all the way.
  5. Deja poo.......beware ,check this thread.... https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/i-bet-you-cannot-match-this-tone.122475/
  6. .....guilty........yes I am a modeler addict.........
  7. You're welcome.( I'm the guy who first pointed you to Fremen's stuff to compare Helix with AXFX with, over at the Fractal Forum. ) I own and use both, but I was using Helix mostly as a router/controller/stompox until recently, when latest FW put Helix in serious sonic parity with Fractal; the integration of the two is now truly astonishing .the superior depth of the number of FAS amp models, editor and FX and the far superior routing and UI , and now comparible tones of Helix make either a win, and the combination may make it worth it for you to go into temporary debt...........
  8. COol, Ernie, I must agree that this latest firmware (finally) has upped the tone game for Line 6, and yes my name is BRAD and I am a guitar modeler junkie...I've got 'em all (well, Axe fX, Kemper, Helix, UAD aPollo at least) and it seems to my ears that only now in recent weeks have all of them opened up some kind of firmware Pandora box of secret digital-analog conversion magic equations, and the most striking improvement is in Helix(at least today.) and I'm glad you've kissed and made up with yours. Are you still doing the Sinise gig? Doing any dates in South Florida this season?
  9. Yeah Ernie, I must say the backup and restore regimen on This thing is a bit awkward, sorry it bit you so badly. BTW, it was great to see you at the Charlie Christian gig at the Jazz Fest this summer....
  10. I like the set put together by Theibault de Robillard (known also as Fremen online) very much http://axefremen.blogspot.com/2016/08/fremen-helix-big-pack-175-presets.html
